Way too loud. Waiters are way too agressive, They want orders right away and when you order appetizers they increase to include all the people at the table for example, we wanted 1 seafood tower, but they out in for seafood tower for 10 people and we did not want this much food. $5500 for 8 people is terrible. They confuse and rush us. I have seen this many times at Wolfgangs. There are too many steak houses in NYC that people don't get bullied, I would try those.
Been coming here at least five times over the past decade and have always had a great experience. The quality of the meat is among the very best. The waiters are efficient and have a real old school way of carrying themselves. The decor is upscale steakhouse. But what I like most about this place is it's unpretentious.
Wolfgang's is right up there with the rest of the classic NYC steakhouses. The food and service were fantastic.
