Visited on the last day of my trip to New York and was craving a sweet treat to end the journey. The staff were lovely and prepared my order quickly—an iced yinyang (tea and coffee) and an iced lemon tea. We also ordered the original and pandan cakes, which were light and fluffy. Hopefully, I’ll get to visit again!
Super cute and small shop. They have original and flavors - I went at the end of the day and they had original, chocolate, and banana chocolate left. Ube is the first to sell out. The banana chocolate was delicious! 1.50 each.
$1.25 for plain, $1.50 for flavored
I had the ube, pandan, and rose lychee (which had a strong, but not unpleasant, artificial rose flavor). I liked the ube the most.
The sponge cake is denser and chewier than other sponge cakes I've eaten at Chinese bakeries, a very addicting texture.
The place has a surprising amount of seating.
So cute and delicious!!!! The cake is amazing and the viet coffee is perfect! Not too sweet!
1.25 usd for an individual freshly baked chiffon cake. Multiple rotating flavours: I got the strawberry, sweet potato and vanilla.
They sell the large round form ones as well, and Hk milk tea.
One of the few reasons I think about how amazing it would be (food wise) to live in NYC. Incredible cake, especially dipped in the tea. I would skip their coffee though.
Some of my greatest memories come from walking through the doors here. I have been coming here since 2018 and have nothing but great things to say about the staff here. They are so polite and they work hard. If you would like to have sponge cake of many varieties, as well as a comfortable place to get you going for the day, you could pick no better place to go.
Superb in every conceivable way. The most strange and beautiful of vibes
The Filipino UBE isn't as flavorful but good enough. The Filipino pandan is on the greenish side. I think food color is utilized to be this color intense. Visit a real Filipino bakery to get the real taste.
Service was good, though. Sponges are $1.50 each.
The sponge cakes are good. Not as airy as I imagined but still very soft and fluffy.
I ordered an uve flavored sponge cake. The flavor of the ube wasn't very prominent but it tasted very good.
Friendly service.

cheap delicious and fast!!!
Best sponge cakes in town! Classic Chinatown spot that I’ve frequented since childhood. Would also recommend their drinks!
Delicious and affordable. Be sure to get the sponge cakes warm.
Im just a tourist, but seems like a staple in the community. Its homey atmosphere caught me immediately and I felt a welcoming feeling. It’s not the cleanest, but the service more than enough made up for it. I was offered a fresh and hot sponge cake, which tasted great, but I would definitely try the flavored ones next time. Coffee tasted pretty good, a solid flavor.
Ok wait this place is such a gem!! Coffee is great and so are the buns! Can’t wait to go back
