We tried their famous pastrami sandwich. Really liked it. Generous portion of meat. Waited around 30-40 min in line, I don’t know if it is always like that or because it was memorial day holiday.
I had been looking forward to a Katz Reuben for a while and it was worth the wait. Meat was tender and flavors were good. Wasn't too busy when I visited for dinner on a Thursday in late May. Waited in line for the cutter for a bit but then quickly got my sides, drink and a seat.
A true piece of history, a splendid location and a pastrami sandwich to die for! The restaurant is so welcoming, with lots of seats and a table service area; the service is friendly and well organized; the price is quite high but well worth it. We tried the classic pastrami sandwich and the reuben also with pastrami, and they were both incredibly delicious. An amazing experience overall, highly recommended to feel a bit of NYC history firsthand.
