No trip to NYC is complete without visiting the iconic Katz’s Delicatessen. This place really delivers on quality. We had the classic pastrami on rye with mustard and cheese and shared one sandwich between the two of us — easily our favorite food experience in the city. When you enter, you get a card where your order is recorded, and you pay when leaving by handing in the card, so don’t lose it. The meat is sliced in front of you, and they even offer a few slices to taste...
I went over the weekend, and honestly, I wasn’t expecting much — but I was pleasantly surprised! We ordered two sandwiches, but of course, the pastrami one is the star of the show. It’s huge, so one sandwich can easily feed two people.

This place is definitely a must-visit if you’re in NYC. We waited about 30 minutes in line, which wasn’t bad at all since I thought it would be much longer. Just be prepared — each sandwich costs around $30 and doesn’t...
I was at deli cutter 8, his name is Chris, he was very nice and patient. I gave a tip, in addition a 15% tip at the end even if I didn't sit to eat. The line outside went quick, but waiting for #8 delivery cutter was a bit longer since people ordered several sandwiches. It was hard for him to hear cause of the noise inside, I preferred taking it to go cause the noise level was too much for me.
