Pretty awful.Short ribs were tough as shoe leather. Other dishes we had weren’t as bad but were mediocre. Very expensive- almost $200 for some terrible food. The servers were good, however. We had no reservations and the other places were all packed and this place was empty. We know why now.

Arrived alongside a party of 7, and here’s my impression: The establishment impressed me so much that a return visit is certain. Among the highlights were the delightful Brussel sprouts appetizer and the exceptional pho. The seating arrangements were particularly accommodating for our sizable group, and the service proved notably prompt.
Vegetarian options: Several of their menu items, particularly the noodle dishes, are available for consumption without meat choices.

This isn’t a comment on the food but the service - went the day before to pre book a table and made a reservation (18th May). Called 15 mins before to confirm table and reservation. Got to the restaurant and our table had been filled by another group - annoying but the host explained that staff were new, we didn’t argue but decided to try another time. The reason for this review is that as we were leaving, the host said sarcastically “thanks for making it so difficult” - we were absolutely shocked at the attitude!

The food was awesome. The service was also good. I only take issue with the lighting, I get they're trying to create ambiance but it could be a little brighter. Also, on a breezy, rainy day, the door could be kept closed.
Incredible, audacious level of grift. $35 pork curry noodle presented as is, on the plate is ALL of the pork has been picked out from the bowl. Aside from a this tablespoonful of meat, the bowl is nothing but stale, overcooked noodles that stuck together. If you bought $3-a-pack packaged riced noodles before, you know why they are stuck together like that. Gracious server at lunch hour, who has agreed to return the dish and did not charge us.

Do not come to this restaurant if you have a severe peanut or nut allergy. They did not take the allergy seriously. When ordering, they told us the only thing that had peanuts was the spring rolls and the sauce was on the side. Noted, something to avoid. However, when they brought out other food, there was peanut sauce on multiple food items and they did not mention it at all. It was obvious that the pork belly sauce had peanuts in it. When they bought it out, the peanut sauce spilled onto the food, something else my husband couldn’t eat and they didn’t tell us. We were lucky and spotted it. For the quail sauce, it was not obvious that there was peanuts in it and my husband ate it and had a reaction immediately. He had to throw up the food and took medication. He was super lucky to not go into anaphylactic shock. It was super disappointing that they did not take extra precaution with someone with a nut allergy. They did comp us for one of the dishes (the one that caused him to have a reaction) but it was not enough for a Mother’s Day dinner ruined. I just wish that they could have just told us that they couldn’t accommodate a peanut allergy.
I am a huge fan of Thai and Vietnamese food and have only tried one Laotian place but wanted to explore more Laotian flavors and meats. This is why I chose Khe-yo in Tribeca and had a mixed experience. We tried the crunchy coconut rice balls with sausage that seemed authentic. For entrees, we tried the pork belly lettuce wraps and chili prawns with toast, both bursting with flavor but not excessively hot in spice level and expertly cooked. The chile cucumber infused vodka was also a unique and refreshing drink choice. However, while the service was prompt, it lacked politeness. Staff seemed rushed and inattentive, which detracted from the overall dining experience. They did not wait to hear our responses when they asked questions Despite the delicious food, the service left much to be desired so I would possibly opt for delivery or to go in the future.
Dietary restrictions: Easy to eat dairy free here due to the type of cuisine.

we were psyched tontry the food here/ so we ordered a bunch of appetizers and mains to share. our appetizers never made it to the table. it was mothers day dinner for 4- so while the servers were all very kind it was a bummer. the place is great, we loved the menu, and i'd definitely give them another chance.

Amazing food, great atmosphere. We booked a table late and they were able to accommodate 4 of us at 8pm on a Saturday with half an hour notice. Staff were friendly and food came quickly.

Everything was tasty/good, but nothing mind-blowing, and price points high for what it is. Tried a variety of dishes: chicken laap, pork spring rolls, Brussels sprouts were delicious! Rest were good/decent: papaya salad, hangar steak stirfry (should specify it contains noodles), pad see ew (prawn noodles), chili prawns, and pork curry noodle...found dishes to be noodle-heavy. Person clearing table dropped utensils on my lap & suede jacket and noticed, but didn't apologize/acknowledge at all.
The food is consistently good here. I haven't been back here in 3 years (only bc of moving away) and the menu has stayed exactly the same. Would love to see some new dishes on the menu to explore some more flavors of Laotian cuisine. However everything tasted awesome and the front of the house staff were very pleasant as usual
