Very friendly staff. My husband loved the Tikka Masada curry. I ordered the vegetarian dosa. I didn't like the raw onions, but it was good otherwise. They have a good selection of beers and cocktails. I enjoyed the cocktail.
Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian dishes
Low key and inventive Indian food. I loved everything I tried. Simple things like pani puri became complex with a mint sauce. The lentil appetizer was made exciting thanks to an assortment of grains and nuts. The curry, while more traditional, was still really good. The prices were reasonable.

Food is decent, service is great. Butter chicken was good, lamb was okay could use a little bit more flavor. Chaat was top tier. Will definitely try out dessert next time.
such amazing food!! the yogi puffs were genuine flavour explosions and so fun to eat! the pulao and malabar fish curry were so complex in their flavour profiles, every bite was an adventure. i would give it a 7 out of 5 if i could!!!!!
Awesome food! I typically am skeptical of indian fusion (eg, names of dishes clearly written for non-indians), but this was pleasantly surprising! We ordered the cheese dosa, stuffed naan with cheese and chili, and stuffed peppers. The dosa and naan were very good. By itself (without the cheese), the dosa was high quality. We also ordered the parley G ice cream sandwich, which comes with chocolate dipping sauce. That was excellent.Price was reasonable. Vibe was very cool.
Balls of Happiness, kheema pao, Kothu parata, vindaloo. Really can’t go wrong. Great service.
We had an incredible meal. The service is quick and the staff are very nice! The owner is very kind and always happy to recommend a dish on the menu. I really enjoyed the Kheema Pao and Nacho Chaat. Planning to come again!……Came again for the long weekend; This is such an underrated place with great prices! Got the kothu paratha which was also amazing.
The food is always delicious and tastes authentic. I usually order the butter chicken, the lamb and of course samosas. I asked the manager who is very kind suggested I try the vindaloo which you can request spicy. I enjoyed the food, the staff were attentive. My only issue was the to go containers were not suitable for my dish it was a plastic closing container. I did have some spillage but just be cautious what you take to go! The food has never disappointed me.
Delicious food, amazing flavors! Music was a bit loud indoors but there is seating outdoors.

I have been eating Indian food in New York and around the world for the last 30 years and this has been, without a doubt, one of the best culinary experiences to date. The menu gives you the feeling of being whisked away to South India where you’re having a home-cooked meal with big smiles and delicious smells in all directions. The homey atmosphere, delicious drinks (try the Rose pop Prosecco!!!) and gorgeous mural complete the vibe-setting. Grab a reservation, bring your favorite Indian-food aficionado or two and prepare for this hidden gem of the East Village!!!
Our group of four thought it was the best Indian food we'd ever had. Generous glass of Prosecco. Fun vibe with tunes you kinda recognize but are sung in a foreign language. Outdoor seating and in nice weather the big front windows are opened to the street. I was thrilled to see how many gluten free dishes on the well- marked menu there were. Chicken Tikka great, vegetarian dosa was fabulous. Lots of different delicious dipping sauces.
Amazing food and service !!!! We never wanted to leave last night because we were having such a great time ! Definitely will be back ?
Chicken Takki. It was the most tender chicken I have ever tasted. Small place, homey vibe, great mural on the wall. We (4) all enjoyed the place.
I spent an incredible 61st Birthday celebration and 4Oth Anniversary at this womxn owned, family friendly restaurant. The owner has shared her mom's secret recipes from the South of India which equally impressed my friend who is also from the region . The food is not only so tasty, but its presentation is simply exquisite. The staff are accommodating, friendly and helpful with choosing the right dishes. The ambiance was perfect with a playlist that impressed my 20 ish 30 ish children who are immersed in the music, hip hop scene. What a gem of a place in a competitive NYC scene. The East Village has a treasure on Avenue B and 11 street!
