We stopped into Kings of Kobe during a summer heat wave before catching the Staten Island Ferry, and it turned out to be an excellent choice for dinner. The location is convenient if you're spending time around the ferry terminal and looking for a quality meal before or after your trip.
The cocktails were expertly crafted and a refreshing way to cool off after walking around the city. The food was the true highlight of the evening. Every dish was flavorful, beautifully prepared, and absolutely worth the price. It's the kind of meal that leaves you talking about it long after you've finished.
Our server seemed especially busy with several other tables, so it took a little longer than expected to receive our check at the end of the meal. Even so, everyone was friendly, and the quality of the food more than made up for the small delay.
If you're looking for an elevated burger, Wagyu-inspired dishes, or simply an excellent meal near the Staten Island Ferry, Kings of Kobe is well worth a visit. We'd gladly return for the food and cocktails alone.

Went to Kings of Kobe and did the all you can eat American wagyu steak for $68 per person. Absolutely worth every penny. The steak was tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection every time they brought a new round out.
Big shoutout to Jeremmy who took great care of us. Service started a little slow and one server was a bit off, but Jeremmy completely turned the experience around and made sure we were taken care of the rest of the night. That is what real hospitality looks like.
We also tried the wagyu buns, basically a cinnamon bun stuffed with wagyu steak, mushrooms, and cheese. Wild concept and it actually worked, super creative. The Kings standard burger was outstanding, one of the best burgers I have had in a while. The fries were solid. The smash burger was a little sweeter than we expected, not really our style, but everything else more than made up for it.
Overall a fantastic meal and unreal value for wagyu. Will be back. 5 stars.
Takeout. Hamburgers are so good! Onion rings just perfect. And broccoli was delicious. Food was hot and prepared exactly to order.

Janessa is fast, attentive and came with excellent recommendations. Come hungry! All-you-can-eat Sun-Wed hits the spot. We regularly eat wagyu and were NOT disappointed by the quality! Seasoned well. Cooked to perfection for us. Beautiful dim lighting. Food came out quickly.

Amazing perfectly cooked burgers, and crispy fries! Perfect lunch spot for visitors of the Intrepid Museum.
Good Wagyu burgers, will go back again
Everything we ordered was perfect and our waiter, Julio, was super kind. If you go, you have to try the waygu skewers or the chocolate cake.

If you’re a steak lover, Kings of Kobe is honestly such an unforgettable experience. The concept of unlimited-flow steak sounds exciting already, but the quality and service made it even better than expected. They mainly served New York strip along with some American Wagyu, and every round came out hot, fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I also loved that the cuts and thickness varied slightly throughout the experience because it kept every plate interesting.
To keep the steaks coming out quickly and perfectly hot, they serve them in two doneness ranges: medium-rare to medium, or medium to medium-well. Since I’m pregnant, the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating by preparing a fully well-done plate specifically for me without making me feel inconvenient at all, which I truly appreciated. That level of care honestly made the experience even more memorable.
The sides complemented the steak perfectly too. The French fries were crispy, golden, and incredibly tasty, while the truffle fries had a rich savory flavor that made them hard to stop eating. The Goma Garden Salad was super refreshing with mixed greens, cucumber, tomato, red onion, shaved carrots, toasted sesame, and a delicious sesame-ginger miso dressing that balanced out the richness of the Wagyu so well. They also serve chimichurri and herb butter sauces. The herb butter added a rich, velvety finish to the steak, while the chimichurri brought a bright herby flavor, although I personally found it a little heavy compared to the lighter balance of the other sauces.
After dining here, I completely understood why so many online reviews rave about this buffet experience. The nonstop steak service is impressive is, along with the quality of the meat and the attentive staff. The experience feels elevated compared to a typical buffet because everything is served fresh to the table instead of sitting out, and that really stood out to me too. The pacing of the meal, the consistency of the steaks, and the welcoming hospitality made the entire experience feel thoughtful and premium from start to finish.
With a full two-hour dining experience, it never felt rushed, and the entire atmosphere made it feel like such a fun and indulgent meal. This was genuinely one of the most memorable dining experiences I’ve had in a long time, and I would absolutely go back again. Their menu has so many intriguing options that I already want to come back and try more.

Another wonderful steakhouse which happens to have my favorite cut, the flat iron. Itay - the owner - is also a really nice guy and it was really nice to meet him.

Our server Rocco was perfect.
The unlimited deal is an insane value. I was absolutely already stuffed by round 2, as they really are generous, but my boyfriend and I pushed to three plates.
We opted for medium rare and although some meat skewed more medium, honestly the flavor was so good and meat inherently more tender that we did not mind. With the volume of orders and the structure of the deal we understand!
They have a Josh cellars wine for under $40 which is incredibly generous. The people here care about their guests having a great experience. They checked on us at the right moments and were so sweet.
Thank you Rocco for making it a special night!
