A charming little café that’s pure joy for coffee lovers craving something creative, cozy, and truly unique. Nestled on Elizabeth Street in the heart of Chinatown, Köre Coffee blends traditional Korean flair with artisanal café favorites.

Their signature tiramisu lattes—whether the classic, matcha, or black sesame Tahni version—are a delightful twist on dessert-in-a-cup and are consistently praised as rich, creamy, and balanced. The black sesame latte is a standout—savory, subtly sweet, and velvety smooth.

Pair any drink with their croffles—a buttery hybrid of croissant and waffle—offered in flavors like strawberry tiramisu or savory cheese and bacon. The everything bagel croissant filled with savory cream cheese is another local favorite that blends comfort and surprise.

Inside, seating is limited—more cozy grab‑and‑go than café lounge—but the friendly staff and quick service make the experience still feel warm and inviting. Despite their compact size, many visitors leave with a full belly and a happy heart.

While prices are on the higher side (most specialty drinks hover around $8), the quality, creativity, and charm make every dollar feel well spent.

Why it captured our hearts:
• Inventive drinks that feel like mini dessert experiences
• Unique pastries—croffles, everything-bagel croissant
• Friendly, artful service (NK Kim and family-run vibe)
• Perfect Chinatown location with handcrafted atmosphere

Whether you grabbed a tahini black sesame latte, matcha tiramisu, or a warm croffle, Köre Coffee offers something memorable for first-time visitors and seasoned coffee adventurers alike.

This was the first stop in our Chinatown food crawl. We wanted to start the day with some nice matchas and these were good. However they were a bit expensive, I think these might have been the most expensive matchas of our whole trip. The quality and taste were great but paying over $9 for a matcha is kinda insane, especially when there are better matchas for cheaper in the city.

This was my first visit to this coffee shop, and I ordered an iced cappuccino. To my surprise, what I received looked more like a half cup of iced coffee—completely missing the signature foamed milk that defines a cappuccino (as shown in the photo). I’ve never seen an iced cappuccino served this way before. For a coffee shop, I expected a better understanding of how to prepare basic coffee drinks. Disappointing experience.

Great matcha. You can really taste the matcha. We ordered ours with oat milk and it was still nice and creamy.

You absolutely have to check this place out if you get the chance! Tucked away on Canal, this small spot completely blew me away with what I can confidently say was the best cappuccino I've ever had. I never expected such incredible coffee from a modest store, but one sip had me seriously impressed. Beyond the stellar cappuccino, the service is also fantastic. But truly, the cappuccino is the undeniable highlight! I'm definitely planning my next visit soon!

Get the Tiramisu lattes!

All of them are seriously so delectable and creamy. It’s SO creamy that it feels like a whole meal and never overly filled with ice. Everyone I drag here has never said anything bad. The first drink is always an MMmMmmMmmmm with eyebrow raises 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

I will say it’s not the cheapest drink just over $10 with tax and tip!

For the laptop crew, there isn’t a plug that you can use but there are two table seats facing the windows for an 1-2 of dedicated work.

The other two tables are quite low and there is limited seating so the best is just for you to order for take out.

People bring in their dogs in to order.

Coffee was ok. I would have liked a little bit bigger cup and a little stronger flavor. I like strong coffee and this was a little lacking.

I also got the iced strawberry matcha 🍵 it was amazing. I really enjoyed this drink. The strawberry flavor really paired well with the matcha. This was light and refreshing. Definitely recommend if you enjoy matcha.

My daughter had the matcha latte and I had an iced vanilla late. We ordered the strawberry matcha croffle and the tiramisu croffle. OMG! Every sip and bite was amazing! Did not disappoint. People came and went as we sat overlooking the window. It is across from NYPD which felt really safe. The workers were so very nice and welcoming! Do not miss out.

Was over charged for one matcha latte, it’s also swampy and doesn’t taste good.

Watered down and overpriced iced coffee. Instead of pouring the iced coffee first and adding ice, they start off with a full cup of ice and then pours in a bit of iced coffee. It was 4 sips at best. The flavor was lacking as a result.

The Koré Tiramisu signature drink was pretty good. Staff was friendly. The spot is very small though so there may not be any seats left. There is no restroom either.
