Haven't been to Kyma in a while and I was very impressed with our entire experience. The Restaurant Week dinner menu was varied, for anyone's pallet, our dishes were delicious as was our selection of a bottle of the Sancerre. Our waiter was informative, patient, helpful and attentive; the Manager (or asst Manager) that gifted us with an after dinner liqueor (perfect instead of Sambucca) was engaging, educating & generous with his attention...a wonderful experience

We came to Kuma Flatiron expecting a special birthday dinner and instead experienced some of the most uncomfortable and careless service we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, things were off. We were seated at a corner table directly next to the entrance, where cold air was constantly coming in. We asked multiple times to be moved, No one made any effort to help. Instead, we were told that “this table is better for pictures anyway” which felt dismissive and frankly insulting. Comfort should matter more than aesthetics, especially for a birthday dinner. During the main course, the service became aggressively rushed. Server approached our table every few minutes asking if we were finished. We repeatedly asked for just to finish our food. Despite this, someone came over and removed all of our sharing plates and silverware while our entrees were still on the table, leaving us with food and nothing to eat it with.
When I asked for the plates and silverware back so we could finish our meal, our server Samira said that they needed the table back so they should bring dessert. Dessert was then delivered on a table full of entree plates but no people. Only two of us were present, as the rest of our group was in the bathroom. This completely ruined what was supposed to be a special birthday moment. We had planned to take a video and celebrate properly, but the moment was gone. To make matters worse, we were never given dessert plates or dessert spoons. The assumption seemed to be that we should eat dessert with the same forks we had just used for lamb chops and fish. That alone says a lot about the level of care given.

There was also an issue with our wine service.
We ordered a specific Prosecco at the beginning of the night. Mid-service, I noticed the Server pouring a different Prosecco. When I asked what it was, I was met with attitude and told, “It doesn’t matter, it’s the same price.” No one ever communicated that the original Prosecco had run out or asked if we were okay with switching bottles. That is basic hospitality.

The manager never once approached our table to check in - only at the very end to say they needed the table. In a city known for hospitality, we have never felt more unwelcome than we did here.

Samira, I sincerely hope that when you go out with your girlfriends to celebrate a birthday, you never receive service like the one you gave us. No one deserves to feel so dismissed, and disrespected on a night meant to be special.

Always a great time at Kyma, Flatiron! The staff treat you like family and it was the perfect spot for a pre-Valentine's day dinner for a couple who enjoy great food and still know how to have a great time!

The food is delicious and the service was also very good. We didn't have to wait for anything. Drinks were ordered and innoir hands within 5 minutes. Pretty great for a busy venue. DJs were both great.

Best dinner and a party in Manhattan. Delicious food, strong drinks, fantastic DJ, beautiful people and lots of dancing. Have been here several times and had our birthday here about a year ago. Will return many more times.

Very basic Greek cuisine and super basic wine list, over priced and unimaginative. Visible scurf mark on plates and on table, not something you'd expect from a restaurant where avg entree is >$40.

This is a place to be seen, not eat

Came on a Thursday and it gives a Miami ambiance. The food is fresh and delicious. We ordered the Greek salad and I tried their Halloumi cheese for the first time I could have sworn I was eating grilled fish it was that good. Next we ordered their famous fried zucchini which is a must order there and their brazino is amazing melts in your mouth. 10/10 recommend for great vibes and food

Overall the food is good and vibes are fun. But unfortunately the service wasn’t as good as I expected. The waiter himself was excellent but it’s the restaurant’s “rules” that seemed like I came to work for them and not to be a guest. First of all, the host wouldn’t sit us unless the entire group arrived (7 people), so even if someone got stuck if traffic we had to wait at the cold entrance without even being offered a glass of water. Secondly, finally we sat down at the table. We wanted to order appetizers and then order the mains but the waiter said that the kitchen gets mad when he doesn’t send the entire ticket together (respectfully, the kitchen staff should control their anger issues). Also the ENTIRE table has to order together and if someone wants to add something later that’s impossible- so we had to wait a whole hour to order.
And finally, when the bill arrived, they informed us we can only split it 3 ways. This was something we were not informed of before or during the reservation but only when we wanted to pay. Its a shame you make the customer feel like he’s working for the restaurant when all we wanted is to have a good time and celebrate.

I had a wonderful experience celebrating NYE with my loved ones here. They threw a great party with good food and great music. The decor was festive and fun, while still being tasteful.

They were gluten-free friendly.

The atmosphere and food was really good. Our server left a lot to be desired. We always had to flag her down if we needed anything. We told her it was our friends birthday and she brought out tequila shots. After leaving and paying we realized she charged us $90 for them when we never asked for them. Very disappointing and feels very fraudulent.
