We’ve been coming to this neighborhood restaurant for years. It use to be one of our favorites. The food was authentic, well priced and plentiful.
Ever since they renovated, the portions are half the size (and more expensive) and it’s just not as fresh. This has been the last few times we went. So disappointing . Last night the steak in the taco was like shoe leather- so tough and no flavor. Their sopa de tortilla (which was one of our faves) is now half the size...
La Esquina is a charming spot with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The colorful decor adds a nice touch, making it perfect for a casual meal or a night out. The food is impressive; the tacos are flavorful, and the brisket tacos a standout.
Service is friendly and efficient, with staff who know the menu well and are eager to help. Overall, it’s a great place to enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine, and I look forward to coming back.
I’m so conflicted about this place because the flavors are so good, but everything else is a miss.

It’s too expensive for the portions. $28 dollars for the smallest enchiladas I’ve ever seen and they don’t even come with rice and beans?? The mole sauce is amazing, but once you eat the tiny enchiladas there’s nothing to eat the sauce with!

The tacos are good, but they only use one corn tortillas instead of two so they’re soggy and...
