I went on my birthday, and I was lucky enough to meet at that time the manager, Alessandro, who is a lovely Italian guy from Milan, attentive, friendly and very focused on making me feel special on my birthday.We met the cheff, Antonello, a very humble and nice person. We had a great Wednesday evening at Numero 28. The food was fantastic especially the steak and the pasta. Manager Alessandro was great. Great music too. I will make this my to go place ?

I found the true taste of Italy on the UES! The pizza was a delicious journey to Naples. They also have a gluten free pizza option too! The staff's warm hospitality made my date and my feel right at home, and the 50% happy hour deal made it even better! Beers were basically $4 each, that's a steal nowadays. Also the cannoli were fresh and possibly the best I've ever had. For an authentic Italian experience in a welcoming environment, Numero 28 is the place to be. Highly recommended!
