They have some good lunch specials that you can order until 3pm. I went with the house special fried rice with sweet plantains and salad. My friend ordered tostones for the table. The tostones were a bit on the dry side but they did come with a nice garlic sauce on the side. I liked the fried rice, it had a combination of chicken, pork, shrimp and was flavorful. The sweet plantains were delicious and so was the broccoli.
The bathrooms are located downstairs which is something to consider if you have mobility issues. The service was attentive and friendly. We were a group of 6 and everyone seem to enjoy their food. The prices are reasonable considering the area and the portions were good. We enjoyed our lunch and would come back to try out more of the menu.

Food was greasy and taste disgusting. I ordered beef fried rice .. and it was soaked in oil and soy sauce . I ask the waiter to please change my order. The food took forever to come out. My partner felt sick after eating 5 mins later. While trying to eat the second order, he handed me a check charging me for the greasy food that I returned. I requested for that to be removed and it was a problem then had the audacity to ask me for a tip .. I was shocked 😳

Yesterday, Saturday 2/1/25, I went there about 4pm. I had one person with me. My order was shrimp with broccoli from the Chinese side of the menu and steak, eggs (I had to ask for the eggs even though its on the menu - steak and fries by itself isn't on the menu), and fries from the Spanish side, because the waitress said they didn't have fried chicken- my first choice.
When she brought my food the fries didn't come out with the steak. She didn't tell anything like, your fries are coming up. Then when the shrimp with broccoli came - no white rice. Doesn't white rice automatically come with shrimp w/broccoli at every Chinese restaurant, plus it says it on La Nueva's menu.
The waitress debated me and tried to gaslight me telling me she asked if I wanted white rice and I said, no. Why would she ask that (which she didn't) when it comes with the dish. It got to the point I had to give her a look and ask if she's alright because I was getting heated due to her bad customer service, negative attitude about it, the gaslighting, and debating.
She needs to learn the menu and be more professional. I will end by saying my most recent visit before yesterday the other waitress was good attitude, professional, and knew the menu.

Went in to get a drink and they were not welcoming at all . The old Chinese man at the bar did not get up at all, he sat down and made my drink. Will not be returning again plus the food is not all that .

There are no free parking in the area. The food and service is good. Also the prices for each meal is good for the Manhattan area. My wife ordered a half fried chicken with rice and after a while they told us they didn't have any fried chicken. Myself and family of 6 are from Florida. We used to visit a restaurant in Brooklyn on 49th Street and 5th Avenue with the same name. From our memories the Brooklyn restaurant food taste must better and service too. I think the Brooklyn restaurant is no longer in business at the 49th Street and 5th Avenue. So that's the reason why we drove almost 2 hours each way to try the food.

Omg,ate there today food and service was very bad,heard gd things but not today,brought food out one dish at a time,rice was burned and no flavor at all! Don't go there.
