They chop the ingredients and make the sandwiches in front of you. It's high quality food and the the sandwiches are made with care. I think the baguette was a little hard last time I orderd — I prefer softer bread!
This place used to be my go to! Now they have different staff and the sandwiches are less full and the baguette crust is a little soggy. Also the prices have always been very high but with the downhill quality I can no longer justify it.
obsessed with the high hydration baguette, amazing open crumbs and springy structure. Generous pâté portions. They don't have much seating but the park's right there.
Great sandwiches, the baguettes were insane. It's a small space though, just bring the sandwiches to the park or something.
Ordered a smoked duck sandwich from here. It came with such a stale baguette that I was afraid it would chip my tooth. The ingredients were not special either. Considering all the other positive reviews maybe I visited at a bad time to pay $22 for a very subpar sandwich.
I discovered French take out on the UES thanks to my daughter Mady. She came home with a delicious looking sandwich. She discovered it on one of her walks, which I have passed without noticing it. It's really a walk in/take out place, but one can sit and eat if table is available. Check it out and feel like you are eating in France 🇫🇷 on the UES and leave saying oui oui and merci! I guarantee you'll be back.
Absolute gem
Just awful
Rude staff - I will never come again
One bite of le sandwicherie transported me into a new realm of subtle autumn breezes and cool winter summers. Two bites outfitted me in a beret and revoked my past three showers. By the time I finished the sandwich, I found myself sitting in a small Parisian cafe, with no way home.
Au revoir,

Excellent, welcoming customer service and the truffle burrata baguette sandwich was absolutely delicious and fresh tasting. Seemed authentic French also.
Just wish they had gluten free options (leaving this review for someone I picked up food for).

An absolute gem on the Upper East Side. It's a tiny spot with some of the lowest coffee prices you'll find anywhere in NYC and really authentic French character. They stock imported snacks and drinks from France and make some really great, fresh sandwiches.
But what makes the place really special is the staff that make it an absolute delight to visit.
Everything that's special about New York and France in one really unique cafe.

Delicious food and fun casual atmosphere. Has been delish each time we have been there. Really love the vegetarian and tuna sandwiches. Both are particularly special and would go back for them again and again! Thank you!
