They chop the ingredients and make the sandwiches in front of you. It's high quality food and the the sandwiches are made with care. I think the baguette was a little hard last time I orderd — I prefer softer bread!
This place used to be my go to! Now they have different staff and the sandwiches are less full and the baguette crust is a little soggy. Also the prices have always been very high but with the downhill quality I can no longer justify it.
I discovered French take out on the UES thanks to my daughter Mady. She came home with a delicious looking sandwich. She discovered it on one of her walks, which I have passed without noticing it. It's really a walk in/take out place, but one can sit and eat if table is available. Check it out and feel like you are eating in France 🇫🇷 on the UES and leave saying oui oui and merci! I guarantee you'll be back.
