Eh really wanted to love this place, but truthfully the pasta is good not great. Wonderful staff, service, and dining experience overall though.

what an incredible experience. the place is packed all night long and serving the best squid ink pasta i’ve had. strachiatella and fig toast along with the mushrooms are essential too. the cheesecake for dessert hit home. fabulous wine list too. must go!

Food was good, we ate the tagliatelle. The portion of food is super small. So I don’t recommend to go there if you are hungry.

You don’t often find such a popular restaurant actually live up to the hype but L’Artusi does! Incredible value for the quality of food and flavors. Everything was great and exceeded my expectations. Favorites were the spaghetti, bucatini, cacio e pepe, and olive oil cake. Honorable mentions for the focaccia, fresh cookies, and scallops. We ordered 11 dishes & 4 drinks, and it came out to $100 pp.

I ordered the cacio e pepe and amatriciana with gluten free pasta via DoorDash and both were so over-salted and overcooked that they were inedible.Dietary restrictions: Limited gluten free number of pasta options that I would not recommend

There are plenty of great Italian spots in New York and specifically in the west village, but L’artusi stands out from the mix as they consistently deliver top notch service and incredibly delicious food.Unless you can snag a resy, you’ll find yourself waiting in line (as early as 4:30pm$ to put your name down on the list, but trust that it will be worth the wait!

It's good to be back after the pandemic. They never disappoint and looking forward to more. They are the best for Italian food in every category.Update: I took off a star because these past two visits they no longer serve honey with tea and offer (honey syrup which makes no sense). In addition, no one brought ice cream or a candle on desserts for my sister's 50th birthday or today for my husband's parents who turned 70 and 67 together. It's highly disappointing because it was the little things that made the biggest difference. On a pleasant note for my birthday in December 2023, not only they brought out ice cream, honey with tea but also gave us a dessert on the house. It wasn't expected as the service and food is amazing but iwas a great birthday.

Ate dinner here at the recommendation of our Concierge and it was terrific. Really really good. Erin, the outstanding general manager fixed a small reservation snafu and was as gracious and helpful as she could be. Terrific service from Heather. Food was so good, roasted mushroom appetizer, focaccia bread with peppers, and pastas, spaghetti with chilis and parmigiano and pici cacio pepe.Had a great Amarone that was cellared and decanted perfectly. Place had great atmosphere and energy.

My FAVORITE carbonara! Their carbonara is so creamy but is only served during lunch. It might be a tad bit salty, but when paired with the hangar steak, they balance each other perfectly!I would absolutely recommend making a lunch reservation ahead of time and ordering the carbonara and hangar steak + potatoes. The restaurant can be loud.

I was so excited to finally be able to be able to eat here as it's been on my list for so long! When we first arrived, the hostess was a bit rude and short with us when explaining that everyone in our party needed to be there prior to being seated. After we were seated, however, the experience was nothing short of incredible. Our waitress, Lydia, provided some wine recommendations based on what we told her we were looking for, and they were perfect. She walked us through the entire menu, giving us her top picks from each section. Among 5 people, we split the pear crostone, the spaghetti, the tagliatelle, the crab squid ink pasta, and the cacio e peppe, along with the roasted chicken and the crispy potatoes and Brussels sprouts. The group agreed that the roasted chicken was one of the best things any of us had ever eaten. In terms of pasta, my personal favorite was the tagliatelle, but the crab squid ink pasta was another fan favorite. The Brussels were delicious, and the potatoes were cooked so perfectly. To finish, we shared the chocolate chip cinnamon cookies and the salted chocolate cake which were both to die for. Thank you so much to Lydia (and the chef of course!) for making this experience so memorable for us!!!

Extremely excited when we were able to get a last minute dinner reservation here and had a great time trying different dishes. The restaurant has two levels and is very open. I love how the kitchen is exposed and flows into the dining room in the first floor. I also really appreciate how the functional aesthetic they embraced with the hanging pots, olive oil, and seasonings that they use regularly. We tried a multitude of dishes and what I will say is that their pasta dishes are the true stars of the menu. The blackened chicken with scallions has raving reviews, but I don't think that I would get it again if returning. The olive oil cake was really good. Favorite dessert was definitely the chocolate chip cinnamon cookie! Perfect hint of cinnamon. If planning to come here be sure to reserve a seat indoors for the experience and be sure to ask about wine pairings!
