I don't visit NYC often, but when I do, McNulty's is on the list of must visit places. The teas are so well curated and the atmosphere is special. In this world of generic Starbucks and Dunkin', McNulty's is a special treat for the senses and the psyche.
All sorts of teas and coffees for sale here. It's very old fashioned, dark and has loads of jars of tea and coffee around, with old fashioned scales and grinders. It's like walking back in time, definitely an interesting place to visit.

Having found the bulk coffee & tea shop after wandering around following an off-broadway show, I selected Tanzanian Kilamanjaro peaberry lb. of coffee ground for drip. As I walked among the many bins in the shop, it seemed a place of history and expertise. It reminded me of Harry Potter in Diagon Alley selecting a wand best suited to him.
