We were eager to try this place as it was recommended by a friend and the reviews stated how amazing the food and service was. We felt rushed to order, as our server came back twice within minutes asking if we were ready. Once we ordered, he did not return to our table again. Artichokes did not live up to the hype. All around underwhelming in comparison to the reviews.
Outstanding service; our glasses were kept full all night and we were checked on often. The lasagna special was very good and the mushroom ravioli was a hidden gem on the menu. We did not care for the crispy flatbread chips; would have preferred more of the bread. The minestrone soup special lacked salt and would have benefited from a touch of acidity. However, food was still overall great for the price and a great pre-show restaurant row dinner! Ambience reminded me nostalgically...
We were going to a 7:00 play so wanted an early dinner. Our hotel recommended Lattanzi. OMG! What a find. We started with the shrimp and octopus appetizer. Our grandson had - of course - penne with butter and Parmesan. He said it is the best he’s ever had. Our entree, the porcini ravioli was amazing but filling. For dessert we had vanilla ice cream and chocolate mousse. Both were excellent.
