One of the best dinners I’ve had in a while. Food was great and unique, staff was incredible, and vibe was so great. Surprised it wasn’t more packed. 10/10 would recommend
The staff were warm and welcoming. Service was excellent. Such a beautiful space! Great Chalk Hill Pinot by the glass. Beautiful and tasty salmon dish and warm french apple tart! I will be back!
great place to chill, get away, eat some good food. there was fast, efficient, and courteous service.
Huge dishVery juicy chicken dishBut dessert wasnt so good
Eater: been roasting chickens on 20th St since ‘16. Now for a little less than $100, an entire giant brune landaise bird is available, poached and then roasted to a perfect shade of brown, for pickup.
My mom and I came here for dinner. Service was very nice. The food was nice as well. Everything was nice, not wow or amazing but the kind of standby place you know you’ll get a good meal over and over again. Fads come and go, but our experience here is one we’re likely to repeat
Absolutely decadent and amazing food. They achieve the goal of being the top chicken house in NYC if not the world.
This is one of my favorite French bistros. The food is delicious from entrees to dessert, even French fries. I love the flottante the most. That's the one I ordered every time.
I invited a friend for lunch and was extremely embarrassed.
The tastiest chicken I’ve ever eaten.

This was our second time at Le Coq Rico. We came here first in July for the Restaurant Week and we were amazed both by the food and the staff so we decided to come back again.
We came here for the lunch prix fixe menu. Overall, the ambiance of the restaurant is superb, and I really appreciate that they have sound absorbing panels on the ceiling to dampen the din of a busy room. The taste overall is great, but I have a few specific points on the dishes we ordered that take away a star.
The duck was meaty but overcooked and served at room temperature. I have had better, crisper, more flavorful duck at several Chinese restaurants in NYC at a third the price. The fries and salad were tasty but too salty.
A totally charming restaurant with helpful and knowledgable staff. A little bit pricey, but what superb restaurant isn't. If any other restaurant is offering chicken so delicious, I am unaware of it. I believe that it is more than the prep and cooking, they have a source for a special breed of bird; one with an unusually large breast. More than quantity (the portions are large) is the unique quality. If Le Coq Rico prices are within your capability, you should make a reservation for tonight! You will be delighted.
Over the Christmas holidays, we went there for an 8:30 PM dinner. Place was packed and it is very noisy despite the efforts to attenuate the sound with acoustic panels. BTW, the feather decorations on the walls were nice and white when we first went there 2 years ago. Now nice and grey. Ugh! Appetizer for one was a cheese souffle, I had the Duck en croute. No taste. My wife enjoyed the souffle. I had the 1/4 chicken with a salad as an accompaniment (really?!). My wife had the Sqab Pie. Really strange and not very good. 3 glasses of average wine coffee and ! dessert = $270 with tip. You've got to be kidding! Woin't be going back ever again.
