Very racist - all the Asians are seated at the same spot (the table next to the entry). When we reserved this restaurant, we specified this is for birthday and the people who at the front said they could provided a sample cake. However, at the end of our dinner, we asked where is the cake and our host claimed that this restaurant never served cake for birthdays - which is not true based on the reviews and comments I saw on multiple social media. (To be fair we ordered $100+ per person)
Not Recommended. Super Crazy Expensive. Pleasant.
The sauces for each of the dishes add so much depth in flavor. We came here for our anniversary meal and really enjoyed all the dishes we got. If you love French cuisine and seafood then you need to try this place.
A few dishes that stood out to us were the Quenelle de brochet and Sole. The Quenelle had a wonderful soft and flaky texture with a creamy sauce.
HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE SERVICE!
This restaurant has the worst staff ever.
They have spanish waitress girl named “Jade”.
She has a horrible attitude, is super rude, and has poor work ethics. She was talking back to us and showing us hostility throughout the whole night.
We will definitely never be coming back.
They need to hire better staff here
Spending nearly $1000 i thought the staff would treat us with care.
This is my fourth or fifth visit.
As usual, the food is great. Their menu changes occasionally with the seasons.
I highly recommend the lobster. The warm oysters, however, are not recommended.
The vibe is excellent, and the service is outstanding.
Delicious 😋
We came for the weekend lunch service and it is a deal! The portions were sizable. We each left full without needing anything else and I even had to help finish my partner’s tuna plate. The food was as good as expected. But the best part was the service, particularly Francisco. He was attentive, kind, and had great recommendations. He got us tot et some different flavored drinks and knew the backstory behind every item we inquired about. He stopped by repeatedly and made the whole meal that much more enjoyable. I would go back just to sit in his section.
The rest of the staff from the sommelier to the food runners were all kind, engaging, and not stuffy. They joked and made you feel at ease. If you can, splurge on the lunch and enjoy; you will leave more than satisfied.
Good ingredients prepared well but not michelin star level creativity and cooking. Very noisy and way too many staff walking around creating a nervous atmosphere.
Price-Quality not in sync. Dessert was great though and best dishes of the evening. Would not visit again.

Everything was fine, but in my opinion there was not enough light live music. For example, playing the piano.

The perfect place to impress your date or guests. The service is elite fine dining. The chefs are just incredible with the preparation of the dishes, menu selection, and design of presentation. my guests had cocktails which were an appropriate size for a classy delicious midday sip.
Dietary restrictions: They do ask about allergies and can make accommodations.

The food was delicious! Service was a little slow but still attentive. The atmosphere was very nice and peaceful.

The food was mediocre (even terrible) and the place was extremely overtly racist, which had nothing to do with dress or the English language (we all dressed up to celebrate my wife's birthday). The white woman with short blond hair who welcomed us yesterday had completely different attitudes toward Asians and white people. This was the first time I saw her in a restaurant where she didn't even help hang up her coat. The most exaggerated thing was that she deliberately knocked over our birthday cake in front of us. It’s hard to imagine anyone working in the service industry doing something like this. Even if the food is terrible, I never write a Google review, but this time I really couldn't help but avoid it. As a one-Michelin-starred restaurant, it is inferior to any ordinary restaurant in every aspect. Don't come here if you don't want to spend money to make yourself angry. Hope this helps Chinese/Asians who see this review avoid this restaurant.
My fiancée (John Ford) and I are serious diners, having been to all three star Michelin restaurants in NYC and Paris.
We love Le CouCou and always either have dinner or lunch when we visit NYC from Boston. It has always been a wonderful dining experience and feel they deserve three Michelin stars instead of one.
However, we would love to see them bring back the young chicken dish with the sherry vinegar and potatoe puree which they used to serve for lunch. We think it is one of the best dishes in Manhattan. We are looking forward to seeing the dish back on whenever the chef decides.
