Le Fournil is truly everything it says it is! The baguette is wonderful, the croissants and pastries are fresh (coming out multiple times a day). I’ve only been eating at Le Fournil around five months and the changes to the menu that I’ve seen are magnificent. Jeff cares so much about what the customers have a chance to try, especially the smoked salmon croissant and the new pizzettes that are delicious. The bakers get there very early in the morning everyday and stay late....
Cute spot, quaint atmosphere, some seating but gets crowded. Strange congestion point right inside the door which is a little annoying. I had a custard waffle which was ok but not thrilling, and a vanilla latte. Might try the apricot croissant if I go again, those looked good.
I’ve been to Paris several times and love and frequent the boulangeries. These Viennoiseries are nearly identical to Parisian; crackly, shattering, buttery, not too sweet. While I was there a truck pulled up to deliver the magic ingredient; imported French flour. That’s what makes the difference! Worth the trip if your into laminated French pastry. Delish!
