Found this on the outside of my muffin! How gross!! Found this after i took a bite from muffin and the muffin was so gross no flavor Betty Crocker mix would be better. Wait for coffee took 10 mins. No one in there.

Really warm inside, not sure if their AC was down or not. Bathroom out of paper towels, and the seating inside for customers only.
The brownies and chocolate cookies were good, though!

Excellent food, but the portions were small and the price was high for what you get. While I did have a good meal I was not prepared for the cost of eating in midtown. We waited for 10 minutes before the waitress took our order and had to wait another 20 minutes for the bill after finishing our meal. The waitress was polite and friendly, she just wasn't attentive. The restaurant was clean and bright with a separate area for diners away from customers buying pastries at the counter.

Clean bathrooms and spacious is hard to find in nyc. The drinks are served hot (or cold) and fast. Pastries are solid. Buckwheat banana bread was not my favorite fyi. Stick to croissants. Love the space with plenty of light and if you like people watching it is a good place to sit.

Was so excited to find Le Pain two blocks from my hotel in nomad. They have the gazpacho that I love so fresh for a summer meal and today came back for the steel cut oatmeal.

We wanted a quick stop for coffee and something sweet. We were about to order at the counter and the barista told us that if we wanted to seat and have the coffee there inside we should go to the serving area and wait for the waiter… then the waiter at the serving area wanted to send us back to the counter :/ she was insisting and telling us to go back to the counter, we were very surprised while explaining and trying to understand the absurdity of this situation… and her final answer was that she would let us seat there now but next time we have go to the counter… there is plenty of coffee places in NY, there wont be a next time for us here. Croissant and coffee quality was standard to low, and is not cheap ;)

I waited 20 mins to be serviced and no one greeted me, took my order, offered me water, nothing. They continued to take orders from other people sitting around me, but not me. I eventually walked out because it took way too long

One of my favorites in the city for any meal. Breakfast, lunch or light dinner. The tartine are awesome as well as bakery items.
