Horrible experience. I bought a 9 dollar mediocre coffee here and my friend purchased a 9 dollar yogurt. We went to sit down after picking up our food. Shortly after we started eating, they kicked us out because we did not request dining service. We politely asked where we could sit and they guided us inside the restaurant. When we sat down inside, they kicked us out again. There was PLENTY of open seating. We were told that we could not sit anywhere because "this was a restaurant." We are paying customers and should not be denied seating. Horrendous customer service.

Purchased expensive yogurt at the counter. Despite there being LOTS of open seating we were denied access to said seating due to the fact that we were not getting table service. It was under my impression that le pain is a cafe-restaurant meaning that seats would be available for any paying customer, as this has always been my experience at their other locations.

I came here around 9am for breakfast as it was near my hotel and made it convenient. The atmosphere was very rustic, woody, European style and looked great. Our server was very nice, but the service was slow. We got seated and waited 15 minutes to order our drinks. The food was okay, the bacon was hard and it was over cooked. Not the worst cafe but I would definitely try a different breakfast place the next time I come to NYC.

It is a very quiet place, very small, it is difficult to have a table for large groups.Some waiters speak Spanish which is good. The dishes are delicious.
The atmosphere was great , cute place. Food was not great. Got the cream filled donut , definitely was stale. The mini pancakes were definitely frozen and tasted like the freezer. The match was no prepared right. Still chunks of powered and had zero flavor, just tasted like milk. Lemonade was great! Grain bowl was mediocre. See was not the great. Waitress did not give us what we ordered , we ended up having to take it to go. We had to ask for our match twice . We had to ask for the check twice and when I was paying she watched over me while I was selecting the tip. Honestly is a skip for me. Not worth the price of our meal

This place needs help , hire some more people , our waitress was super kind but she was overwhelmed , we had to wait 12 minutes before we got seated ( they asked us to seat ourselves after we stood in front) and after we got our table we ordered water 3 times , never got it food and drink got there but never our water! Food is less than average, bread wasn't fresh as they described it ambiance not that great also, never going back there again .

Ordered the Ham and Gruyère “sandwich”. It was literally just one slice of ham and cheese in a dinner roll (see fork head in pic for reference). $15!! And not even all that good. Completely ridiculous, would never go back. Staff are friendly though
