Walked in here to sit down and enjoy a late light lunch. To me, Le Pain Quotidien is a fancier Panera with better food. It can get loud and busy during the lunch rush til about 1:45pm. Don't be too upset if you feel like your server isn't on top of things during that period. After that time frame it becomes more relaxed and conducive to laptop time with light bites. For $24 I got a sliced half loaf of a large sourdough round, a large chocolate mocha, a pear tart, a petite tartine of tomato/Arugula & mozzarella drizzled with EVVO in a warm brioche with a side salad. Not bad. The large chocolate mocha came in a 16oz soup bowl with a side of melted dark chocolate to add. Impressive vision but terrible way to drink it. There is plenty of seating as you enter and upstairs in the loft. It's a great spot to hang out at while you're waiting for your train, to pick up your coffee and muffin on your way to work or other freshly made patisserie to bring home or share at the office--in which case, they do cater for your occasion.

Love this place and I kept going back for their Chia seed muffin while visiting New York. This is the place to get all kinds of pastries and bread or order breakfast.

A very clean, professional, and welcoming environment. It's also exciting when the food looks exactly like it does in their pictures, and tastes even better!

Delicious pastries. My blueberry muffin was so delicious. Not too sweet and not too mushy--just dry enough to be easy to eat. The cheese danish was good and flavorful. Lemonade was. It sweet enough but the latte was ok. Nothing to write home about.

A delightful escape from the common American oily breakfast fare. The European-inspired menu offers a refreshing twist to the morning routine. The cozy ambiance complements the culinary experience, making it an ideal spot for those seeking a break from the usual breakfast options in the heart of Manhattan. A must-try for a delightful and satisfying start to your day.
