December 2017 I accidentally missed seeing SpongeBob Square pants the musical to go here. My server's costume change was so good I almost asked her where my server went. 👍🍔👍

It’s not cheap (you kind of need to order a drink on top of the $59 dinner, and 20% gratuity is automatically added), but it’s worth it! They’ll make sure your birthday/bachelorette is well celebrated. Also don’t worry about not having small bills, they’ll offer exchange before the show.

i can't say enough good things about LIPS! i went for a friend's birthday with a huge party of people (19) and they were so accommodating to all of us! the show itself was so fun, great music selections and had all of us DYING of laughter. the food was amazing too! everyone in the place looked absolutely beautiful and you could tell how much love, care, and passion is put into every performance. 10/10!!

I want to start this off with a warning disclosure that I am a straight white cisgender man: or for short “SWCM” (the most beloved of all the combinations these days). I knew my other SWCM friends would never accompany me to Lips for a drag brunch. So I pitched it to them as an all-you-can-drink brunch in the Upper East Side and they quickly all agreed to come. I am not going to lie there was a bit of a shock factor when we walked in and they were most definitely a bit confused and concerned but by the end of the brunch, everyone was throwing money like they were at Sapphires Gentleman’s Club. I tell this tail for two reasons: first, it's funny as hell. And second, to illustrate that lips are a place for everyone.

Besides the provocative name, you would pass lips on the street on any given day and have no idea of what lies inside. Very poetic when you compare it to a closeted gay man. Once you enter, you are no longer in NYC, you are transported to another dimension where rules don't apply and nobody judges.

I would highly recommend getting to know your waitress well because once they are done serving you they transform into the talent that you will see dominating the stage. They aren’t working at lips because they have a deep passion for service. They are there to perform. So tread lightly when you are ordering or else they will put the sass on you quickly, and once they start they don’t stop. Just like the service you're not going to drag brunch for the amazing cuisine so don't come hungry. You will be fed but hopefully, you took advantage of the open bar so much that you won't remember what you ate. I got the chicken and waffle which is my death row meal and the obvious winner on the menu. While it wasn't the best I've ever had I have had much worse. The open bar as previously mentioned almost steals the show from the performers. It's all you can drink and you have all the standard brunch options. Feel free to Mix and match cocktails, but brunch is for mimosas.

I made the mistake of not thinking they would have dollar bills to give out so I went down to the local corner store at 9 am and asked for a whole stack of ones. You can skip this step and save the humiliation of looking like a strip club addict. Before the show starts they walk around and have endless ones that you can trade for.

Now on to the reason you are at Drag Brunch, the show. I was a drag brunch virgin before lips, and I couldn't imagine a better place to pop my cherry. The dances are eye-catching, to say the least. There is a reason this place has been around for so long. Everyone in the crowd gets some type of attention from the performers and if you’re lucky you may be a part of their crowd work. You may be thinking of doing this for a special occasion. If so, you won't be alone. Just about everyone is celebrating a birthday, bachelorette, or other special occasions; And don't worry everyone gets celebrated.

This place is the real deal. Maybe not for all ages, but great for everyone else. I give this place a solid 8.9. I will be back for the special shows
but I may pack a lunch.

We celebrated our 32nd anniversary on the last night visiting NYC for the week. Lips was just right. Heidi Ho was hosting. She was fun, energetic and engaging! The food was amazing. Seriously, the BEST Salmon I've ever had in my life! Our drag waitress was Lauren and she was very hospitable and attentive. She also did a great drag number! Will visit again next time we are in NYC!

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I would not recommend, our bill was over $400 and the show was literally just the drag queens collecting money to bills.

the food was pretty good, nothing spectacular, but for the price point it’s well worth it! the bottomless mimosas, charismatic staff, and decorations were all top notch! would definitely go back
