This is my go-to place for breakfast when in NYC. They have a great menu for breakfast and the coffee tastes great too. The serves are really good and patient (needed for me in the morming). The only downside I'd say is that the restaurant is small and the tables are too close to each other, but that may be endemic to most good restaurants in NYC.

While searching for breakfast spots in the area, I stumbled upon this place and was immediately drawn in by their challah French toast. When I arrived, there was a short 10-minute wait before we were seated, which was perfectly reasonable.

For my meal, I ordered the French toast with eggs and bacon (note: there aren’t separate sides of eggs, so you have to order the two-egg meal without toast if you want just eggs) as well as the fried chicken sandwich with truffle fries. Everything was enjoyable—the flavors were well-balanced and satisfying—but the true standout were the truffle fries. Crispy, perfectly seasoned, and incredibly flavorful, they easily stole the show.

The challah French toast was lovely, especially when paired with the berry sauce, which added a nice brightness, though it did have a slightly tart aftertaste. Overall, it was a solid breakfast experience with a few quirks, but the food, especially the fries, made it worth the visit.

Food was excellent.
Staff was a bit impolite. When sitting at the counters, you basically get no table service. Also, the food came out before the coffee.

Great little breakfast place with out of the ordinary, but not crazy options. All innovative takes on breakfast foods.

We had the broccoli breakfast burrito, French toast and shashito pepper eggs. All amazing but the French toast style the show. The coffee was also amazing.

Such a cute little spot. This was my first dining experience in NY and I am not disappointed. It was lunch time, all tables were full, and there were so many people hustling in and out. To our surprise my group of 4 were seated very quickly, which was a pleasant surprise. Our waitress was so sweet, kind, and patient. I wish I got her name. The drinks we got were pretty with latte art and tasty. From our table we were able to see how they make their drinks, and from behind it all looked very clean and tidy, which is a good sign. I’ve worked at a few coffee shops and let me tell you, behind the bar, it gets dirty really quick really easily. Drinks came out fast, food came out very shortly after. The food not only looked tasty, but was absolutely delicious. I got the schnitzel sandwich, full of flavor. The sauce, pickles, and breaded chicken mixed very well together and I was very pleased. The only thing I regretted was not asking to get it on sourdough bread- that would have elevated the sandwich to another level. My husband, who tends to be quite picky with portion sizes/flavor/price- really enjoyed his fried chicken sandwich with truffle fries. The sandwich was also soo tasty, the only thing it was missing was some more sauce, and the FRIES. Holy cow. I personally don’t love fries or fried food, but those fries were made to PERFECTION. The truffle flavor was just in between subtle and bold. The texture and “fry-ness” of the fries was delicately crispy and potatoey. (Some fries I try taste like pure oil).
My brother and his wife got a smoked salmon eggs Benedict, which they said was phenomenal, and the French toast I believe. The salmon on the Benedict was delicious, and the toast had just enough of sweetness and not too much to make you feel sick.
All the servers that came up to us were all sweet and helpful.
The music playing was such a vibe and pleasant to listen to.
For price reference, the schnitzel sandwich, fried chicken sandwich with truffle fries, two lattes, and one chocolate croissant, it was about $64. I don’t feel too bad spending that for a filling meal, vibey atmosphere, and great service.
I had a wonderful experience here at Little Collin’s, definitely worth a try!

The unmarked entrance hides an excellent restaurant. We're happy to claim this restaurant as local. The staff balanced quickness with genuine pleasantness. The other choices were wonderful, with spices unfamiliar to my taste. Every aspect of the experience was enjoyable.

The food was flavorful and had unique elements that stood out from traditional breakfast places. We had the salmon Benedict eggs, the salmon roti and the French toast with a side of bacon. They were all delicious but the French toast with challah bread was my favorite. The average wait for a table of 4 was about 30 minutes.
