We love to treat ourselves to a meal at Lokal whenever we are on the upper west side. Amazing food and great service. We've never been disappointed with any of their food. Highly recommend!

Our experience at Lokal 83 was terrific: we shared three small plates (lentil patties, zucchini pancakes, and crab cakes.) All were fresh, attractively but not "fussily" displayed and all very tasty. Despite two of the dishes being fried it did not have that soaking heaviness that friend food can sometimes have. The service was attentive without being annoying and the price was appropriate for the quality. We also VERY much appreciated that if there was any music it was at a level that did not interfere with a good conversation. Will definitely return.

Food and service was excellent. Mother's Day brunch menu was a little different but everything was yummy!

Everything we ordered was delicious. I recommend the branzino, eggplant salad & crab cakes, baklava or the pumpkin dessert (if you want something less sweet). The service was excellent as well.

The restaurant was located near the Natural History Museum, so went there with my family during the lunchtime while visiting the museum. It has the typical repertoire of the Mediterranean food. Ordered three tastes of dips, octopus, falafel, dorado fish and lamb chops. There are some creative dips (try with caution) - the red caviar one is way too salty. Octopus was a disappointment as it didn't come in the whole piece. Instead it was cut into very thin slices and most of the dish was onions/vegi. Entrees are decent. We like the fish most. Falafel is the spicy type. Lamb is quite tender. Contrary to the fancy display of food posted online, the reality is just very plain display.

There was too long pause between appetizer & main course service, no followup when additional bread for appetizer was requested.

Food was excellent. Prices on the high end but portions were generous. Two people shared the whole branzino which was perfectly cooked. It came with a salad and veggies. Some rice would have rounded out the meal nicely. We also shared a large arugula salad with pears and walnuts. Service was great until we needed our check which took way too long.

Food is creative and delicious. The service was "cold." There could have been more interaction. Never came over to see if everything is OK which is pretty standard these days.

We popped in on Valentine's Day for a pre-theater dinner at a high-top and everything was perfect. We got the tzatziki, a greek salad, and skirt steak. All was delicious and they were able to accommodate our quick time frame. Can't wait to go back!

Walked in on a Saturday afternoon for brunch and the three of us were seated in a very comfortable seating at around 1:30 pm. The restaurant was not that busy, and noise levels were on the lower end.

Our order consisted of Ajvar ($11), the Lokal Burger ($27), and Falafel Entree ($25). We found the food just ok. nothing spectacular, but the portion sizes were really generous justifying the portion size to price ratio. The fries with the Lokal Burger were quite disappointing - very very dry.

We ordered a hot sauce on the side and were told that its a mixture of five difference spices, including some Turkish spices. Spice level on the hot sauce was amazing. Very flavorful sauce!

Service was excellent and team was very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely visit again with friends and family!
