Sadly the food fell short for us. All of the dishes were so close to being great but lacked enough flavor. The fish lettuce wraps for example could have been great but they put the tiniest amount of sauce on them—barely enough to taste—and the pickles were hardly pickled at all, leaving a dish that tasted like nothing more than a piece of fried fish served with lettuce. If they were more generous with sauces, etc. it would make a huge difference! Restraint is good but now when it means compromising flavor.

Incredible dinner. The Paraiso Salad and thr Carrot Masala Dip were phenomenal. Always amazed by how rewarding a dinner at Lola's feels.

Nick is also an amazing host, and manager. Very impressed by the hospitality and care.

A super cute restaurant with amazing food! We enjoyed every single dish we tried. The homemade naan was so good, served with a carrot masala chutney that you never want to end. The beet and jicama salad was incredible, I still can’t figure out how they made that dressing so juicy and flavorful!

The fried fish lettuce wraps were delicious too, though a bit tricky to handle. The gold rice grit cake was absolutely tasty, my favorite dish of the night (no surprise, since I’m a huge cabbage fan!).

My partner really enjoyed his crispy chicken thighs, though he’d have preferred breasts. Dessert, the Black Forest cake, was also wonderful; the sesame brittles added such an interesting touch, and the tea paired perfectly with it.

Went for our anniversary and loved it! Particular highlights - sparkling oolong tea, deconstructed BLT, the rice grits, and the scallops. Highly recommend.

What a lovely experience eating here was. We sat at the kitchen counter which I strongly recommend. You must have the naan with a lovely yogurt based dip and the pimento cheese spread with amazing crackers. We ate vegetarian and the bento box of vegetables was wonderful. I saw alot of people eating the fried chicken thighs and I will be coming back for that. The desserts we had were worth coming here for. The chocolate chip cookie with oolong oat milk dip is divine. Also the blueberry corn bread with a strawberry compote. Every fruit and vegetable tasted like it was just picked. Also have to say the service was as good as any place I've ever been. If I could rate it six stars I would. This place is doing what every restaurant should do and it is a must for every serious food lover.

I didn’t think the food was bad, but the service was. I disliked our waiter. I wish I remembered her name but she had black hair and seemed to be foreign? But my critique has nothing to do with that.

She comes by while I’m still CLEARLY eating and asks to clear plates. But why would you ask to do that when you see someone still eating? I proceeded to shove the remaining food down my throat in the meantime before it was my turn to take the plate. i just felt oddly pressured and disrespected compared to the other people I was dining with. At a restaurant I never want to feel pressured to eat faster and it’s not like I was taking forever either. I just don’t get why she would ask that when she saw me still working on my food…felt weird.

My friend ordered a soda and kept some to the side in the can and the waitress came by and filled her glass with the rest of the coke when her glass was already 3/4 the way full. Her drink was to the brim of the glass after she poured and the can still had coke left. Instead of giving my friend the rest of her coke can, SHE TOOK IT. Like why did she even have to pour that to the brim? She was drinking it at her own pace…..and it’s not like it was crowding the table.

I don’t know. It just felt weird that we were treated this way and were rushed to this degree. I’ve never had a waiter want to take my plate before I was done eating. I felt uncomfortable.

Genuinely one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in New York. The food is absolutely incredible. I don’t know how this place isn’t packed every hour of every day.

I recently tried Lola’s and I have nothing but amazing things to say. The space is spacious and vibey, the service was fantastic, and the whole menu is so fun and unique—full of unexpected pairings in the absolute best way.

We ordered: the housemade naan with carrot masala yogurt (the yogurt is so freaking good), B.L.T. toast, paraiso house salad, crispy chicken thighs (you have to get these, it’s not optional), and the heritage pork dumplings which also slap so hard. Every single dish was a hit.

And listen—I’m a total chocolate chip cookie snob, but the brown butter + miso chocolate chip cookie with oolong milk? Insane. Perfect.

Lola’s is such a gem—I already can’t wait to go back.

So glad we tried this place out. Everyone was so accommodating from the host to the bartender who served and created refreshing cocktails and a nice wine list. The place is simple yet beautiful, the back of the restaurant is wrapped in beautiful green tiles which really make the space. Especially loved the lettuce wrapped tilefish and the short rib. The chef came to our table with the mains. We will be coming back soon to check out the other items on the menu!

Not sure how I first discovered Lola’s on social media but I have been for a while and finally got the chance to go and enjoy!! Had the house salad and gumbo oyster appetizers, both excellent. High quality produce and excellent ingredients. Everything delicate and pulled back perfectly. Then the mains - short rib and crispy chicken!!! Loved the hot honey and the chicken was cooked perfectly. Short rib was so tender. How long does dish cook for??? Finally, desserts… pudding cake and cookie. All phenomenal. Service perfectly paced. Atmosphere A+. Pretty sure I saw the chef on the line with her staff well after service ended - clearly she is as strong a leader as she is as a chef.

Thank you to the kitchen team who were so thoughtful about my allergies and consistently delivered versions of the dishes my group ordered that I could enjoy. Such a lovely dining experience!

This place is such a gem. The ambiance is perfect - not too big of a place (which is great). I like to sit at the kitchen counter in the back to watch them cook while you enjoy your meal. The menu is also on point and constantly rotating. Will continue to come back here whenever possible!
