I did not get disappointed!

Had 15 min before the Harry Potter show started and decided to drop by Los Tacos across the street.

Line moved fast, ordering and service were quick, and the tacos and quesadillas were very authentic. (We had both beef and chicken.) They felt very refreshing and not heavy at all. Got a bit of street vendor vibe at the restaurant due to the stand-up table configurations but my two kids - 14 and 12 years old - gave the thumbs up too!

I dream of these tacos.

The best tacos I’ve ever had in the US, and I’ve tried many taco joints in SC, SFran, and Chicago over a span of 18 years.

Los Tacos No.1 is an absolute gem—fast, flavorful, and authentic. Tucked into the hustle and bustle of the city, it brings the spirit of a true Mexican taquería to life with every bite.

The adobada (marinated pork) taco is a must-try: juicy, perfectly seasoned, and served on a freshly made corn tortilla that’s soft yet sturdy. The carne asada and pollo tacos are equally delicious, and the quesadillas with grilled cactus or mushrooms are perfect for vegetarians. Don't forget to top it all off with their fresh salsas and a squeeze of lime.

Despite the lines, service is lightning fast and full of energy. It’s the kind of place where you stand elbow to elbow with locals and tourists alike, united by the pursuit of amazing tacos.

Affordable, unforgettable, and full of flavor—Los Tacos No.1 lives up to the hype and then some.

Very tasty and reminiscent of the real thing. Expensive.

Loved this place! We were visiting NYC and searched for restaurants nearby—this one popped up. The line was long but moved quickly, and although it was packed inside, we managed to find a corner to enjoy our food. We loved it so much, we came back the very next night! The pork and beef were absolutely amazing

Life is short. F……it up! Family, Flavor, Friends

After seeing all the internet buzz I finally made out to NYC this time in time square. There are 15k reviews of this place so had to try it. It was in the afternoon and there was a line. Some regulars but most first timer. The staff was a fined oiled machine. From Making fresh flour tortillas to shaving the pork from the massive pork wheel. Got the steak and pork. Both were good add a fresh squeezes like wedge. The pork taco very mmmmmmmmm savory dripping with the juice of the pork. Just get it with what they recommend. Not that I’ve added to the 15k reviews. I can say it worth it.

The best tacos in Times Square, I love them and recommend 👌 😋

It is a great place. Adobada tacos are a must. I would recommend avoiding the carne asada and chicken ones though, they are not that well seasoned and can be dry. It doesn't mean they are bad.

If you are tired or need a chair for the elderly or children do not go there. But for a young group or couple the place has a great atmosphere.

Came here twice on a 3 day trip which tells you all you need to know!

These are some of the best Tacos I've ever had, including in Mexico. We got each meat on a corn taco 'con todo' (with everything). Pollo, Carne Asada and Adobada all 10/10.

We went at lunch and dinner and although the queue was out the door, it went down quickly with no more than a 15 minute wait.

It's a busy place but it wasn't difficult to find standing room with a ledge/table. The standing room only contributes to the great atmosphere inside! Definitely come here, you will not regret it!

Simply the best affordable Mexican food I’ve had in my life. Perhaps one of the only few places that is a MUST if you are visiting the city for a few days. The quesadillas are amazing, every ingredient is very fresh and the meat is flavored to perfection. Worth any wait.

Tacos were good, but didn’t quite live up to all the hype

I tried the chicken and carne asada tacos, which were both really good. The corn tortillas are made in-house which makes it even tastier. There is no in-door seating. Be prepared to wait a little if there is a line. Overall, they did their best to keep things moving.

I’m beside myself with how good this was. I started swearing out loud in the restaurant when I tasted the salsa—it was incredible.

I got the Nopas plate, add steak. Getting one bite with cactus, steak, cheese and salsa was maybe the best part of my day.

Jayne Stewart

Omg….. wow. I think that the tacos are better here than in Mexico.
