This bar has a notoriously bad rap for underage people coming in. It really pleases me to read that management is taking an active role with getting them out. Friends are local to this spot, so we'll probably come by more often so I'm not standing next to undergrads.

Disgusted by the (alleged) manager of this bar. My friends and I got in line here and there was one bouncer scanning IDs. A man came up to me (NOT a bouncer) and told me to give him my ID (I wasn’t even next in line, he completely singled me out). I handed it to him, confused if he even was an employee here, as he had nothing identifying him to this bar. He looks at my ID, did NOT scan it, and proceeds to ask me what year I graduated high school and what my address is. I just moved to a new city a week prior so I hesitated when I said my address, and was taken aback that I was even asked these questions (I am 22). He then tells me he cannot let me in because I hesitated and I LOOK TOO YOUNG. Since when can you deny someone for “looking too young”?? I offer to show him my lease AND a scan of my passport and he refuses to look at anything or hear me out at all. This is the best part though… my friends and I leave and go to the bar next door. As we’re waiting in line, this manager walked over to this bar we were now at and went up to the bouncer, POINTED AT ME, and said do not let her in, she is not 21. I have never had an interaction with such an arrogant person in my life. Do not give this bar your money.

LoT had been on my to-go list for a while. Really cool multi level, multi room bar, fun music playing throughout. I think I would have enjoyed it more on a quiet Tuesday instead of a loud Friday (but that's bc I'm old 🤣🤣). Good cocktails, fast service even on a crowded night. Definitely recommend checking out it!

The bartender was so so rude and unprofessional. I tried to order a second drink and she said “you gonna tip me more this time?”. She stared me and my friends down all night. Drinks were watered down and extremely overpriced. Tiny seating area. Don’t waste your time

Went to this bar today 8/31/25. Early (5pm). It is so cute and super chill. The cocktails were amazing and they had a happy hour every day til 7. I didn’t read any reviews until after I got home… I love that they are turning away super young people and they are so upset about it… this is hilarious and such a vibe. 5 stars! 🤣

Don’t go to this bar if you are 21-22. My roommate (22 years old) got rejected because “she looked too young” despite providing a valid ID. Upon suggesting showing the police her ID to validate her identity/age, they suddenly “couldn’t find the manager”. Joke of an establishment — had to go home after already paying for the cover without receiving a refund despite being of age, dressed appropriately, not over served, and being respectful.

We always have a fun time here. The vibe is great. The drinks are delicious. The bartenders are friendly and chill. Never had a problem with the door people. It’s a definite stop when I’m in the area.

i’m completely disgusted by this place and one employee in particular. We tried to go yesterday for my sisters birthday. A large group had already entered and we tried to pay to skip the line. Understandably the bouncers told us we had to wait in the line. We proceeded to the back of the line to patiently wait and the bouncers boss came to us and said that we could wait as long as we wanted they would deny us at the door. Given we were told we couldn’t be let in our party, who was already in the bar, left to be with my sister on her birthday. The bouncers boss proceeded to go to MULTIPLE bars and bouncers on the block to tell them not to let our group in. It’s New York so we obviously got into somewhere very quickly but this 50 something year old legitimately went out of his way to try and ruin my sisters 24th birthday. Completely disgusting.
Lovers of Today is the definition of a hidden gem. Dimly lit, super cozy, and full of character. Their cocktails are creative and delicious. The Astral Plane with is floral and refreshing without being too sweet. The Handsome Devil is dangerously smooth.
Bonus: happy hour from 5 to 7 pm makes trying more than one way too easy. Great vibes, great service, and drinks that taste as good as they look.

My friends and I, four 25 year old women paid the cover and then were denied entry into the bar because one of our IDs “wasn’t real”. We weren’t offered a refund on our cover, and this happened to another group in line as well. I understand being vigilant about fake IDs, but I don’t understand turning actual 25 year olds away from your establishment and not refunding the covers.
