A global experience inspired by chef’s journey throughout the world with a kick ass drink pairing. You know the restaurant is serious when they source bread from Pennsylvania!

Hip, cool, and super delicious & imaginative cuisine... this is not your parents' stuffy Michelin star restaurant - and that's a very good thing 👍

Amazing experience at Luthun. The food, drink pairing, service, atmosphere were all phenomenal. Sitting at the counter was a great. The innovative menu changes frequently and all the dishes were hits. The brisket, halibut, and scallop dishes were especially memorable. Definitely coming back soon.

One of my favorite restaurants in the city! I’m celebrating my birthday every year with the most AMAZING talented staff - run by chef Nahid and the amazing similar- Jahdea🩷

The food and service here were fantastic. Great sauce work on everything and I appreciated that they weren’t afraid of some actual spice and heat, unlike so many tasting menu places. We sat at the chef’s counter and enjoyed chatting with the somm and the chefs and watching them work. The head chef was out when we visited for apparently only like the second time in three years but it was a well oiled machine. Delicious food and a lot of fun being there.

Went here for my birthday and experienced one of the best meals i have had in recent years. The dishes are well balanced and flavorful and the progression/pacing is well thought out. I also really enjoyed the wine pairing and got to try out some spirits I normally wouldn’t have (shout out to Jahdea the somm!)

Amazing food prepared by out of this world chefs. The staff were amazing and will make you want to come back soon!
They serve a tasting menu, and I left feeling very satisfied. Each course was original, with gorgeous presentation, and extraordinary, complex flavors that I savored. The drink pairings were fantastic. I enjoyed the explanations for each pairing nearly as much as I savored each bite. The staff are friendly, efficient, and professional. It felt like we were being served by friends we just hadn't met yet. This was comparable to my experience at a Michelin Star restaurant.

Try somewhere else. They effectively have no waiting area, so we had to wait 25 minutes outside in the rain with the 8 other patrons that shared the counter reservation time, while the previous service ran over time. Not the best start, but the chef came out for a cigarette break and apologized.
The place is understaffed, the service is poor, and the courses are badly timed. The first course was a pani puri in decorative corn. There was a hair on top of my corn, but I tossed it aside not wanting to make a fuss, because it wasn’t directly touching the food and I was excited to try everything after reading some good reviews. We ordered drinks, but they never came out until we asked after three courses when it was apparent they forgot. The positive is that some of the food is good and the flavors are bold. Still, try somewhere else.

Hands down one of the best meals I’ve ever had. We got a last minute reservation and were able to join at the counter. It truly provided a Birds Eye view to the creativity and passion of each individual behind and in front of the counter. The chef was kind and personable. Also, special mention to the Sommelier, Jahdea. As a non drinker, it can sometimes be boring when your entire group is drinking. He made the experience just as immersive / enjoyable with the non alcoholic selection. I learned a ton and can’t wait to come back!

Ambiance (5/5): The intimate chef’s bar table seating overlooks into the kitchen with 9 spots at the counter. There were a few floor tables unoccupied and some occupied. However, it is a must to eat at the counter to watch the chefs prepare right in front of you with meticulous fervor at the direction of the head chef.
Service (5/5): I did no know that they start preparing when the whole reservation hour parties arrive!! I was 20 minutes late and as soon as I arrived, the chefs started whipping away. I felt terrible for delaying their service interrupting the guests’ time. They were very courteous nonetheless and treated all guests with personal care and attention throughout.
Food (6/5): I haven’t had a meal this spectacular in a while both in taste and presentation. There are so many flavors, textures, and ingredients that melt into one dish. Chef Nahid Ahmed has done a superior job in curating an all around perfect meal. Some of the dishes have cuisine themes (Thai, Japanese, Portuguese). I can’t even give one critique is how great I thought it was.
We added a supplemental $7 milk bread (1 piece to be shared with 2 people) to the last two courses. I think just the 1 piece would have sufficed because 1) we were stuffed and 2) there was not that much sauce that needed to be soaked in the bread. However, the bread is pretty darn good.
My friend seemed to really enjoy her wine pairing!
I’ve already shared the restaurant with accolades to friends/family and plan on coming back for a birthday to try another seasonal menu.

This place is amazing and one of the best service experiences I’ve ever had. Everyone we spoke to was unbelievable and the chef is so down to earth. Besides that, the food was awesome and took you on a trip around the world! My only note was that while the additional milk bread supplement was nice, it didn’t feel necessary since there was already enough food in the courses.
We will definitely be returning for next month’s menu! Thank you again for an amazing evening!

We had the most incredible meal of our lives at Luthun ! It really is a MUST, can't wait to go back. The food is practically indescribable, it's so unique and delicious. Every dish is artfully different, with new textures, flavors, preparations, and combinations. Every sauce/flavoring is so fresh, delicately layered, and thoughtfully composed. Even the temperature of each dish is specifically designed for maximum enjoyment. It is truly an explosion of taste sensations. But nothing is pretentious or formal, it’s just excellent offerings for everyone. And there was a lot of food. “Small Plates”?! Some were quite large. Chef Nahid is a generous genius, and his meals are quite the bargain, considering the quality and quantity. It's a little hard to see from the outside, but the dining room is very comfortable. I recommend sitting at the Chef’s Counter to see the magic. It’s such a laid-back environment to enjoy the best food--and drinks!-- ever. Don't miss the wine pairings!! They are very special, things you'd never know about. Well-worth more than the cost. It’s a special place, run by very special people. Treat yourself.
