Too sweet... My friends and i ordered lysee cake and very important chocolate and we only finished half...
Lysee tastes literally just caramel and you can feel the small particles, almost like chewing sugar, and the mousse cream texture just added another layer of greasy.
VIC was fine for the first a couple of bites but then became too sweet.
Biscuit base was hard as rock and difficult to crack even with a fork
I’ve never had such bad service at a cafe before. I usually come here for the babka, but after today, I won’t be returning. There was only one staff member working, and she was explaining each item to a customer. Even though she saw me waiting at the counter, she didn’t acknowledge me or say anything.
Once the customer moved to the counter where I was standing—MIND YOU, I WAS RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE COUNTER STANDING 🧍♀️🧍♀️🧍♀️🧍♀️—she picked up her walkie-talkie instead of acknowledging me, still without a word or even looking in my direction. Then, the same customer told me to move (RUDELY), and she still didn’t say anything. At that point, I just walked out.
Its as easy as saying sorry, ill be helping you out soon or call a colleague……
For the prices they charge in such a small space, the service should be much better at the very least, respectful and attentive.
Went in with a lot of expectations, tried four desserts for takeout, none of them were worth a single dollar. Highly overpriced, do not recommend!
Vibes are 5/5. Didn’t actually order anything, but a few items were sold out already and all seating was full, so would recommend coming early and/or making a reservation.
Nice aesthetic and overall modern, creative shop. Prices are on the higher end.
Love the seasonal tart. Corn tasted less “corn” this time.
The taste is unfamiliar, making it somewhat difficult to appreciate. While the dessert is light and not too sweet, which can be a good thing, it lacks the richness expected from a typical dessert. It’s not a place worth visiting just for the taste, and though it was worth trying once, once is enough.
It was difficult to approach because the taste was unfamiliar, and although it was light and less sweet as a dessert, it lacked the desired dessert feel.
Overall, the taste wasn't enough to make me come here on purpose. It's worth experiencing at least once, but I have no intention of visiting again.
I grabbed four pastries to go and noticed the male cashier with the mustache, after handling the register, used his bare hands to open my bag. He put his entire hand inside of the paper bag before putting my pastries in there with a tong. Probably just an oversight, but pleaseee Lysee management let’s fix this. This is unsanitary and unnecessary, all you need to do is flick your wrist with the bag in hand. Haven’t we learned anything from the pandemic?
Their pastries are absolutely beautiful—feels like walking through an art gallery! Plus, the menu has something for everyone.
Desserts are pretty good overall. My favorite is the corn dessert, and the other two tastes like so far so good.
Very nice and elegant storefront, busy no walk ins available, elegant desserts but unfortunately many unavailable, fairly high priced ($19) especially larger cakes but understandable for the artistry, flavors on Lysee creamy macadamia with strong nutty flavors, not the most cohesive and some of the interior leaked outside within 2 hrs (2/15/25).
Expensive
Taste So so
View not comfortable

Cute dessert shop with very polite staffs! Shop was sooo cuteeee and elegantttt
Lysee definitely didn’t taste like it was worth the hype though. Occasionally, nuts are compatible with dessert but I feel that it was not in this case. It was okkk. If you’re really into nutty desserts, you should try this out~

Let's start with the most important part—the cakes. They are absolutely delicious: moist, flavorful, and with a perfect texture. We tried three varieties—the VIP chocolate cake, the Signature Lysee cake, and the Corn cake—and none of them disappointed. Each bite was rich and satisfying, showing the care that goes into their baking.
However, there were a few hiccups with the experience. There's only one person handling the upstairs counter, so it took a while to get to the front of the line to make our purchase. We also mistakenly thought we could take our cakes downstairs to enjoy in the cafe area, but we were wrong. If you want to sit and have your cake with a drink, you need to order in the cafe first and take a seat.
Since we had nowhere to sit inside, we ended up standing awkwardly on the sidewalk in front of the storefront, eating our treats. While the cakes were absolutely worth it, the lack of seating and seating protocol made it less than ideal.
Overall, Lysee Bakery has some fantastic desserts, but if you plan to enjoy them on-site, be prepared for a bit of confusion and discomfort around seating. Still, I’d go back for those cakes any day.
