Yummy!!! I would say authentic food, even if I haven't been to Asia yet. Courteous and nice service! A visit is highly recommended.

This place is just so delicious. Sharing a big bowl of dry hot pot with friends makes the meal so much more enjoyable. We ordered the xiangxi fried rice and a spicy dry hot pot with a variety of meats and vegetables.

Spice level was perfect and everything in the bowl was meant to be there. Definitely recommend!

The food is very good. Well balanced. Seems fresh as well. It’s definitely very pricey though. Only reason I didn’t score it higher was the waiter seemed a little on edge. I went on Friday October 4th afternoon. Waiter was a tall white guy. I ordered a dry pot. There was confusion about if I wanted rice. I said yes, on the side. I guess he didn’t hear me and in an annoyed way replied: “it’s a yes or no!” He also didn’t enter my order correctly. Maybe he could repeat the order back to assure he heard all the add-ons correctly? It’s all good. Maybe just having a bad day. Hope it’s not a recurring thing.

My dear friends, although there are many foreigners here, it is delicious, but it really tastes good and the ingredients are fresh.

I have been a loyal customer at Mala Project for the past two years. However, the attitude of the hosts and waiters greatly disappointed me and make me never want to visit the place ever again.
The waiter’s attitude was off the roof as if he was raised in the street, very unprofessional and downgrading the place.
It is a shame since I really love the food here but with this kind of SERVICE , I will not be coming back ever again.

I wonder how the manager there are managing the quality of the staff and service as I have heard a lot of complaints with the SERVICE from customers.
Very Disappointing.

Mala project is the best Chinese dry pot I have ever had. The food is just amazingly tasty and I have been there so many times and every time their food was spot on good. The place is amazing nice and small and looks best at night.

It was a nice lunch, dinner, and takeaway from this Mala Project. I discovered this place in 2019 while walking around and came back again in 2024 on my 2 weeks stay in NYC.
.
The server builds your own dry pot which is delicious. Go for the mildly spicy and choose the round of an eye.
.
Plum juice tastes very weird alone but when you drink it with the spiciness, it’s great with it.
.
The portion is large and worth the price!

Went here to get lunch with coworkers. This place is one of my fave dry pot spots. I usually order delivery from a different location but this was my first time dining in. I love getting the fish dry pot lunch special and adding potato noodles with the little spicy spice level. It gets really busy during lunch time so def recommend ordering in and picking up since it did take us some time to get our food while dining in. If you like dry pot, def recommend!
