A-MA-ZING!!!!! Great vibe, excellent service and outstanding food. I recommend this for a date night. We had the tasting menu and it was worth it. Everything was so good!

Ma•dé, located in SoHo, boasts a beautifully designed space with a warm, inviting atmosphere that is perfect for social gatherings or an intimate date night. The staff here adds to the appeal, greeting guests with genuine warmth and attentiveness. The restaurant also excels in its presentation, serving dishes that are as visually appealing as they are meant to be flavorful, using high-quality ingredients.?However, the culinary execution falls short of the ambiance's promise. The menu, while ambitious, tends to favor overly complex flavor profiles that overwhelm rather than enhance the natural tastes of the key ingredients.Dishes like the crab dip and sautéed mushrooms suffer from an excess of salt and a muddled array of spices and additional elements, making it difficult to appreciate the primary components. This heavy-handedness in seasoning and spice detracts significantly from the dining experience.

Found the food very salty. Portions are tapas style; very small. Good for one time.

Tried a large portion of the menu at Chef Cedric Vongerichten’s new place. The drinks and food were solid. Best thing we had was the crab dip! We ordered a 2nd round of food because we were still hungry after the first round ?Cute decor too!

Food was absolutely delicious — every dish is well balanced and we couldn’t wait to try the next one. Desserts were especially good here, loved the black sesame ice cream!

"Small plates" "fusion" with "Asian" flavors! Loud house music so you can pretend you're at a burning man DJ set!"Bar seat" is mostly right next to the entrance. Not ideal.Food is pretty good but doesn't always match the price. Some examples:$32 "Chirashi" of a few chunks of fish over potatoes is far from the best way to present these ingredients.$26 for crab dip that tastes like...crab dip (minus the lump meat).$16 Mango "pudding" that is tasty but not fully set.

Most dishes were very good. My favorites were the Chirashi, lobster dumplings and crab dip. The yellowtail toast and shrimp toast were just okay I probably wouldn’t order again. The restaurant is small and the music was all over the place making for an interesting vibe. Overall it was an enjoyable meal.

We visited this restaurant for Valentine's Day, and the overall experience was confusing. From booking the table to serving sizes, there were several issues.Booking:There are many options for the “table,” but only one guarantees an actual table. "Sip and Snack" is a tiny counter where sitting is a challenge, making it unclear how people manage to eat there. It would be helpful to make this distinction more obvious. The host did allow us to switch, but we were given only 1:30 hours to enjoy the experience.Serving and Food:At $118 per person, the portion size is disappointingly small. Surprisingly, couples receive the same amount of main as an individual:1 piece of fish, and you have to figure out how to split it. It is not even sliced.1 piece of meatStarters were also served in shared plates. Some cocktails are tiny, creating confusion with a $20 price tag.Paying:You receive the check before finishing your meal, even before 1:30 hours pass. In the check, you will also find a 20% "large parties" charge mentioned, even for just two people. Although they eventually removed the charge, it was done reluctantly, with the explanation that this is a “holiday, and we want to add gratitude by default.”Overall, we expected to enjoy the holiday with food and drinks but felt rushed and unable to fully savor the experience. If you value your time and seek an enjoyable dining experience, consider exploring other options.

Unremarkable, cramped place. Food was supposed to be Bali-inspired but there was not a single Indonesian flavor to be had; it was mostly Japanese or East Asian. A little overpriced too, especially the tartare in a cup with the uni--$33 for that, where most of it is milky potato? I've had MUCH better value at Jeju Noodle Bar for a similar dish which actually has a Michelin star. Dumplings also had exceptionally thick skins which was disappointing. Dessert menu only had hot desserts. We were in the mood for something cold and fresh and light but you either had to get a creme brûlée or a tart or a cake. THAT SAID, the butterfish was magnificent. Three stars for that dish alone. We joked that we should've just ordered 3 of the fish instead of all the other uninspiring things we had. It was one of the best fish dishes I've had in my life.

The folks not giving this place a 5 stars are delusional buffoons. Top notch food and service. Love everything.

Vibe was great, food was okay - some interesting dishes, but the servers could really improve a lot more. Not what I expected so I’m a little disappointed.
