All hits, no misses ! The service, the food, the ambiance were all amazing. I almost didn't book because of the $100 no show fee. I thought that was pretty steep but once I saw the space I understood. The restaurant is very tiny but well configured so it didn't feel crowded. TLDR: added to my list of recommendations in the city. Me and my friend were in the area and quite starving and stumbled into Ma dé thinking they weren't going to be able to serve us. Fortunately for us, they had just a table for two available! Of what we ordered, my favorites were the oysters and razor clams, lobster dumplings, warm wild mushrooms, and slow cooked butterfish. Most dishes were very good. My favorites were the Chirashi, lobster dumplings and crab dip. The yellowtail toast and shrimp toast were just okay I probably wouldn’t order again. The restaurant is small and the music was all over the place making for an interesting vibe. Overall it was an enjoyable meal.
