If you are trying to find this place then forget about the street view photo they have posted - it is very misleading because the 3 giant “Macchiato” signs featured on the side of the building in the photo are now totally non-existent and have been replaced by Taco Bell signs. The cafe is a bit difficult to locate. To find this shop you’ll need to go to the Northwest corner of West 44th Street near 7th Avenue and then walk West on 44th street for about 15 meters/50 feet (make sure that you’re walking on the North side of 44th street). You will see the entrance for the Paramount Building (it is lit up like a marquee) which confusingly is the entrance for 1501 Broadway. If you get to the Brooklyn Deli you have passed it!Enter the building and take the escalator on the far right up to the next floor. As soon as you get to the top you will see the coffee shop on your immediate right. This café serves decent shots off a Faema E71 machine. The coffee is decent and they have a good basic food service as well. There is plenty of seating including a section that has a place to plug in your laptop. The best bonus of all is that it is quiet and uncrowded.

Service review: I cannot speak on the Espresso and Wine Bar service because I never used it. Their fresh food service is extremely poor. The cook never gets my order correct and always blames the cashiers. I have been ordering the same sandwich for the past months. All supervisors & most of the cashiers know that I am allergic to onions, so my order is simple: tuna sandwich on multigrain bread and substitute the onions for pickles. Almost every time, I am given the wrong order. Either I receive white bread/onions instead of pickles/no lettuce/no tomato/everything with onions added. At this point, it feels like he (the cook) is purposefully making my order incorrectly. For example, this morning, I saw him (the cook) by the register and greeted him with a Good Morning, then gave the cashier my order and repeated it twice. Sadly, he smiled and gave me my sandwich with everything, including onions. Today, for the first time, I asked for a refund. I have decided never to go back. There are too many options in Times Square to support a business that cannot follow a simple order for months. The on-duty supervisor's name is Salinas. The supervisor told me the cook's name is Salinas, but the cook is a male.

Terrible customer service. Decided to come here instead of Starbucks (learned my lesson) but the woman got my order wrong and then she tells me "well its already made". No remedy offered.

Very good espresso and made correctly. Does anyone know how to make a correct espresso macchiato? C'mon. This place does. The girls behind the counter were sweet. Although in that neighborhood, I still feel Ground Central is a notch above and I also love Zibetto. I'll be back. In the end I'll be back.
