It was my first time trying the famous banana pudding. I did not expect to like it that much. It is definitely not to be missed whenever you visit here. We also got pecan cheesecake which was good as well. It was rich and heavy.

We picked up a medium-sized Banana Pudding from Magnolia Bakery today after hearing so many great things about it. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to the hype for us. Besides the cookies, there were only about six slices of banana in the cup, and it felt like it was mostly whipped cream with very little actual pudding. The rich, cheesecake-like texture mentioned in other reviews wasn’t really noticeable, and the flavor mostly tasted like sweet whipped cream.
It’s very possible that we just caught an off day or that our portion wasn’t well mixed, as we can see so many people truly love this dessert. Still, our experience today was disappointing, and we wouldn’t recommend it in this form.

Magnolia Bakery never disappoints. The Devil’s Food Cake slice is my absolute favorite! I’ve also tried the German Chocolate, Coconut, Salted Caramel, Hummingbird, and Pumpkin Spice cakes, all are incredibly good and perfectly balanced, not overly sweet.
Service is quick, though the slice sizes can be a bit inconsistent, sometimes generous, sometimes smaller depending on who’s serving. They occasionally have extra seasonal flavors, but other days just the classics like Vanilla, Red Velvet, and Chocolate.
Overall, always a great spot for fresh, flavorful cakes!
