It was the first time that I had ever been there and although their stock levels were quite depleted which shows just how popular they are as a bakery it meant that I could only try a few things but the banana pudding was absolutely Sublime

Wow. First off, the banana pudding was fantastic ! That being said, it was so good we went back again 5 minutes later to get more ! I can see why this place is so popular.

Major concern; I am posting my receipt as proof in case this individual denies interacting with us. Gianella M is by far one of the worst, toxic employees I’ve ever had to deal with in any service based industry in my life. Looks like the owner actually replies to these google reviews so I certainly do hope this individual is talked to.

To say this team member was “ rude “ is an understatement. The level of toxicity this individual portrayed was just to the point where I decided to allocate a portion of my night to write this review.
0 smile, 0 eye contact or acknowledgement was the definition of “ you are not welcomed at my restaurant “ behavior and attitude is the definition of disgusting and unacceptable.

Every guest, client that walks through these doors for this business should feel welcomed. When we asked a question, she didn’t even bother to answer and I could tell that she hated every minute of working there. And that energy had a negative impact on us. What is she trying to accomplish by spreading such negativity and hostility to guests ?

Let me ask, if you genuinely hate your job so much, why do you continue to work there ? Management, please speak with this individual. Gianella M’s behavior is not the example that you want to set for any business out there.

This bakery has become a traditional stop because I cannot leave New York without stopping by Magnolia Bakery to grab some of their famous banana pudding! And I’m from Mississippi (the Magnolia State), where banana pudding is made from scratch, no whipped cream involved, but I have to admit, this version is really good despite the whipped cream base. It’s rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. I love that it pays homage to a classic Southern soul food dessert while giving it a New York twist. A must-try for anyone visiting the city!

I visited the bakery while on holiday New York from the UK and I tried some of the banana pudding and the banana pudding was okay, but nothing special. The red velvet cheesecake was too sweet and I only took one bite out of it and threw it away, I understand that cheesecakes are meant to be sweet, but the cheesecake was not palatable

The banana pudding was SO good! I read that the banana pudding is the thing to get here and was not disappointed. I shared a small one with my partner and that was sufficient as we were eating plenty of other foods as well. It was the perfect flavor and texture. We went around 2 hours before closing and there was a small line in the store but closer to closing when we walked past again, there was a long line out the door, so timing matters if you want to avoid lining up. They were also nice enough to give us some water cups.

Be very careful here, they will serve you tea, past boiling point, the cashiers desk is at the exit door and as you open the exit door, no signs, but there is a step on to the sidewalk. I burnt my hand badly trying to leave this place due to the lack of consideration or signage. Root cause, they don't put the lid on properly, which not only keeps the contents in, but is structural to prevent the cup from collapsing inwards. When you get given this at the cashiers desk and have the other hand full, no where to put anything down, this is downright dangerous. Tea water and condensate poured onto my hand as I walked in to a busy street, so to prevent other people from getting a burn if I dropped it, I had to bear it until I got to the plant pot outside, where I could place it down on the corner.
Sort the signage at the exit door out please and restrict the hot water temp to something reasonable.

It’s just bad. Did PE buy this chain as well?

I used to love banana bread pudding here and be ouch everyone who’d visit. I just got a serving tonight, and not only did the serving size go significantly down, but the quality has gone down as well. Instead of pudding, there’s just whipped cream, and the biscuit part is dry and crunchy without any flavor. While the price has gone up, the quality is deteriorated. After being a regular for almost 8 years, I won’t be coming back after tonight.

Order to go, came for this famous banana pudding. No chairs, tap to pay available, no napkins available besides requesting from cashier. Was mostly like a mixture or parfait of layered cream, cake cubes, and whipped frosting. Was pretty good, but fairly certain I've had comparable from some of my hometown pudding specialty places.

Had a brownie too, was just a brownie. Cakey.

Staff were direct and clear. Most people seemed to come in and congregate nearby the back to read the available options, but the staff call out for whoever's next. Makes the queue flow quickly.
