Breads Bakery - Rockefeller Center offers excellent coffee that is smooth, rich, and perfectly comforting alongside their pastries. The croissant is incredibly crunchy and flaky on the outside, while the inside stays soft, buttery, and beautifully layered. The Jerusalem bagel stick is flavorful and unique. The chocolate babka is rich, perfectly swirled, and absolutely delicious, while the carrot cake is incredibly moist and flavorful. The banana chocolate chip cake is also amazing. The cheese sticks are fresh and buttery, and the hummus tastes perfect. The best oatmeal cookies in NYC can be found here. A spinach and cheese pastry is flaky and wonderfully cheesy. A healthy, filling dinner for two with a salad, tzatziki and baguette, two black coffees, and cookies was around $40. However, the service is not always friendly, with a rude cashier at times, and the atmosphere is not the best, with tables and floors needing cleaning. The staff works smoothly and efficiently under the manager's leadership, and the bakery feels organized and upbeat. This is a perfect place to slow down and enjoy great coffee and really good bread and pastries.
