Banana pudding was good and like everyone else, there’s more wafers than bananas. Tried the red velvet cupcake and it wasn’t for me. They have whipped cream frosting and I prefer cream cheese frosting. The cupcake was a bit dense and dry, as if the batter was overworked.

Worst service ever. She didn’t care one bit and treated customers horribly. Rude, careless, and completely unprofessional. Don’t waste your time here.

I had the GF Flourless chocolate cake and the Kellie cheesecake. They were delicious, but too expensive.

Magnolia Bakery in Moynihan Hall at Penn Station is a must-visit. From the moment you step inside, you know you’ll end up buying more than one dessert. Their old-fashioned banana pudding and pound cake—what New Yorkers refer to as Bundt—are simply divine. The crust on the pound cake is remarkable, combining a hard sugary exterior with a soft, buttery, moist interior that could easily outshine any Southern pound cake. If I could have licked the bowl clean of the pudding and snagged another slice of that pound cake, I would have felt like I’d woken up in heaven the next day. It's a solid ten out of ten—delicious and finger-licking good!

Employees are rude and try to have these insider jokes with each other and make it obvious that theyre bothered to do their job and service you as a paying customer which makes you feel like not returning. Management needs to do some retraining of customer service skills at this location.

Unfortunately I had the same experience with the classic banana pudding as many others who have reviewed and I want to review in hopes it can improve. This was my first time trying Magnolia Bakery ever, and I’ve heard great things about their pudding. I got a medium classic and from the first bite I could tell there were a lot of wafers and it did not taste very much like banana. A lot of reviews said the same thing but I went anyways to try it.
Unfortunately in my entire cup, I had 2 bananas and soooo many wafers. When I got to the bottom I had 8 wafers (I counted) all on top of each other. We pay for the pudding, wafers are cheap, so that felt like a rip off. And only having 2 bananas made the entire thing taste more like vanilla. For such a well off company, they could make these better…
