We bought a box of chocolate chip cookies for dessert this Thanksgiving to see what the overall reaction would be compared to years previous where we’ve brought your competitors. You’ll be happy to know Maman has taken the front row. Overall consensus ,best cookie -all around in flavor, texture and freshness. Not too sweet, not too thick , the perfect constancy. Hands down our favorite.

Maman is an impressive cafe, bakery and casual restaurant where you’re likely to want to sit and relax while enjoying their delicious muffins, cakes and even vegan treats.

It was raining and miserable and we just wanted some food. A quick Uber ride from Central Park got us here for some much needed sustenance in the morning.
I picked Carol's tomato basil soup ($9) and a large honey lavender iced latte with whole milk ($5.75). The soup came out not too hot and chilled at some parts, which was fine. Filled me up without feeling too heavy. I so looked forward to the iced latte since I had been up for quite a while. Gave me the caffeine fix I needed!
Plenty of seating inside by the front and even more towards the back when you go up the stairs. Appreciated that their cold drink came in an actual glass!
They gave me uncooked cheese on my grilled cheese order and won’t refund
I would’ve given more than 1 star, but the service completely outweighed the great food. I was excited to try Maman since it’s been all over TikTok. The chicken salad sandwich was unreal and the honey butter drink was amazing. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. It took my server 15 minutes just to bring water, and when I said I was ready to order, she told me to “wait” and then helped someone who sat after me. After my food arrived — which was pretty quick — she never checked in or refilled my water.
When I asked for the check, I ended up waving her down for about 10 minutes in a not-so-busy restaurant, and eventually had to get up and pay at the front with Deja. Deja was super nice and accommodating when I told her the issue.
I’d recommend ordering at the front and sitting down, or asking for Deja to assist you. Overall, the food was genuinely great, and I’d come back to try more of the menu. The service needs to improve, and the staff clearly needs additional training.

The ambiance is lovely and so were the drinks! The staff was a bit off putting but it’s nice for happy hour before the Met.

Not a bad place to grab a bite. Coffee doesn’t taste like it’s been on the same burner since Giuliani was mayor so that’s a huge plus.

This maman lcoation is a mess. Had me waiting over 1 hour for a bacon egg & cheese to-go. While I was waiting, I noticed how other people’s food was just waiting there for a long time before it was served, specially the to-go and delivery orders. There system is chaotic

Came here to get my birthday reward cookie; the cookie was fabulous but the Matcha I purchased tasted watery. I love the atmosphere though!

While coming back from the MET, we stopped here for a quick coffee. It was around 6 PM, so I’m guessing it was close to closing time.
Whenever I go to a coffee shop—especially a local one—I prefer getting my drink in a proper cup instead of those plastic ones. Anyway, I ordered a classic latte, but the taste felt very generic and nothing special to me.
The ambience was good and the service was nice too; I just didn’t really connect with the place.

Smashed avocado tartine with smoked salmon & Caitlins breakfast wrap with chicken: both very good. Very good service all around.

Good atmosphere, tranquil and warm. There is an unpleasant smell, probably coming from open kitchen. The counter person was unattentive and refused to help us with our questions. I got the famous rum cake, which was dried on the cut surfaces. The cappuccino was very good, I love the ceramic mugs. The toilet was clogged, there was no toilet paper and the walls were quite dirty in the restroom. This cute spot needs some improvement.

Makes people wait 20 minutes for an iced americano. Baristas casually chat with 0 urgency while backlogs accumulate.
EDIT: I'd give the iced americano taste a 0/5 if I could
