Especially for a chain, the pastries are great (really - I’m a croissant snob and I think these are good - today I had the almond chocolate) and the coffee is good. I like the vibe though it’s a little kitschy. I really don’t like the auto-bot that responds to every comment..🙄

Great decoration and location! The matcha latte wasn’t sweet like the Chai, which I appreciated. However, I didn’t like to get a “take away plastic cup” while I planned to stay at the cafe. I stayed for over an hour and it wasn’t the same just because of the plastic cup. A bit disappointing given it was my first time there.

love the bread and pastries here; creative and unique, e.g. the sesame croissant with salt pinch, very tasty and inspiring, and many others like that

I placed a Too Good To Go order and showed up exactly at the time that I was supposed to be there, but the cashier said that it was already gone, and she didn’t understand why and shrugged like it was no big deal. Well it was a big deal to me. I’m pretty sure once I paid for them they should have been reserved for me. I walked 30 minute roundtrip for no reason and now I’m coming home to my family with 0 food. Not only was the cashier rude and said she didn’t know what to tell me, but she made no effort to suggest another item(s) or maybe give me something for free as it was the end of the day and I’m sure a lot of these pastries were going to be thrown out anyway. I even had to say maybe you could give me something for my time wasted and walking all the way here. Nope. Just a shrug and a fake sorry and I’ll give you a refund. Why not just put a couple things in a bag and say sorry? Nope. These people have no brains. They’d rather make a customer unhappy and lose a customer for life. It’s ridiculous. Some entitled service employees who have no idea about customer service and have such little respect for customers who also have very busy schedules. Some think they’re doing us a favor and not getting paid to work. Will never be back here when there are so many better bakeries in the neighborhood who also don’t treat customers like trash.

Really good bakery and breakfast with interesting drinks. Place is packed and loud, be ready for a wait and a lot of noise on a Saturday morning.

Maman’s staff consistently exceeds my expectations! Deja is the hospitality Queen, genuinely caring about customers. She knows my order, even though I visit NY three times a year! I love the Passion Fruit Olive Oil Cake in the winter/spring and the Citrus Olive Oil Cake in the Summer. The breakfast menu is amazing, too, especially their avocado toast. Bravo, Maman UES! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
