James was lovely! Very attentive and kind
I loved the Lavender Hot Chocolate!❤️❤️❤️
Ok, but bland food. Second time in. Its counter service. I learned my lesson- don't tip counter service while ordering, just to find out that my 18% is NOT going toward a clean table. My table was dirty, as we're the other options. I watched people leave and the tables got cleaned of plates and glasses? But never wiped down during my entire 30m wait time for food and meal duration. Wish I could get my tip back, totally undeserved. And for 14 dollars? The omelette should have really been better. Very disappointed, but especially in the service aspect. What the hell happened to standards the last 25 years? I was in food hospitality for 10 years and this was literally not allowable. I love how we just do worse in the future and find total excuses for laziness and lack of process. Really looking forward to coming in again and NOT tipping when I grab delish looking pastries.
Always a wonderful time at Maman! Food and service were great, the inside especially at this location is so cute and inviting.
Friendly and professional staff. The food came out fast and it was yummy! I would return to MAMAN, especially this location, 1424 3rd Ave.
Loved the coffee here, food was good too! But there was a strange restaurant rule for us which made us a bit upset. We asked for a table for 3 and put on the waiting list. Luckily the ladies arranged our table quickly but our 3rd friend was late and they said “we cannot give you the table if your 3rd friend isnt here”. That was too strange to us, as we’re europeans this’s never occurred to us before. Then, we sat down a table for 2 while waiting until our friend comes. Then we requested for a favor again and they helped us to move to a bigger table. But, we still couldnt order until our friend comes because of the rule. So funny. Anyways.. we waited and after our friend came, we ordered and then everything, food and service went smoothly afterwards. Thanks god!! I still liked it here and i would probably go again for quick brekfast or coffee take away..
James was very kind.
I went there with my family for a quick brunch, we ordered lots of food and it’s pricey but it was delicious.
I needed to check some work emails and they did not allow me to be on my laptop. It seems that there’s a tiny sign by the cashier that says that it’s a laptop free place.
I get it but maybe put it here on the google description, so people can plan ahead. If I knew I would have gone to a different place since I knew I had to work a little before we got the food.

Not too bad for the area but by no means a great cup of coffee. The 7.4 flat white has very little flavour, strength and the milk work was very average - lacked smoothness.

I am showing this on social media then realized the board is heavily molded. It’s gross. Please do something of this hygiene issue. Not cheap price over $20

Ordered a bowl for pickup with an extra egg that I paid for, the extra egg was not included. Disappointed
Rude employees. Wouldn’t attend to an issue after store closed even though still working.
Bienvenue to Maman, the French café that loves silence so much, it bans laptops with its “laprop free environment” sign—visible only to the eagle-eyed or those who carry around their magnifying glasses. Here, big iPads are welcomed with open arms because, apparently, the symphony of entrepreneurial typing is a café crime. Screen tapping, but no typing!
Watch as the waitstaff glide in like chic vultures, swiftly reprimanding any noisy keyboards/laptops to be put away immediately referring to multiple signs made by the team who brought you “Where is Waldo?” It’s device discrimination at its finest. Here is their device DEI rating. - Only screen taps allowed. Keyboards are shunned. - all staff are trained on the same level to quickly come and tell you, your laptop is not allowed. . Not only is laptops not included, its makes the owner feel unwelcome. It’s not a the laptop “safe space”.
Perfect for those who prefer their café experience sans clatter. Just remember: at Maman, your laptop isn’t free—it’s forbidden.
Bon appétit!

While both the manager and Katie were easy to reach and resolved our issue with our minimum F&B, Camille did not respond to emails and gave me a phone number that was not working.
Vegetarian options: they were delicious!
Dietary restrictions: worked well for gluten free

I had a matcha, a coffee, an almond croissant, and a passion fruit lemon loaf. All the drinks were good, but the loaf really stood out, being so moist, with sweetness that balanced out, though a touch more passion fruit might have helped. Ambiance at the café is beautiful; looking forward to trying their brunch menu next time. Food quality and presentation were of the highest standards, and that is why it was buzzing with a lot of people inside. Given the unexpectedly very low Google rating, my experience was great. Vanilla Mango Croissant Roll and Belgian Waffles with fresh whipped cream and berry compote were great. Refreshing iced coffee, and plenty of vegetarian options
