The experience was very cozy, relaxed, no-rush, and memorable. We took the risk of going down the stairs into the dark, non descript restaurant on a cold, breezy day. It was a pleasant surprise to find the ambience and service so pleasant. I'll surely try there evening Jazz sometime soon.

love this place so much i almost don't want to review it... but i will. best banh mi i've had in nyc. bizarre decor that is just so cozy and warm that u won't want to leave. really really a favorite.

Vegetarian options: krispy tofu banh mi is all u need

Very unassuming restaurant, you can basically walk by here without ever noticing this existed. Although the banh mi is not entirely Vietnamese style, it executes well on a different take. Stop by for the chicken banh mi and some thai coffee.
