This location wasn’t like the others the vibe is a more later vibe than the others. I’m guessing because of the area. Overall cool spot it was the first one got way bigger than how it use to be. Still good staff is more strict on things I didn’t understand here but it was ok. Nothing to change the experience. The dj did play music for outside not inside that was a bit wired but also ok. The food is always great at mamasushi vibe was cool I would suggest going after 5 on a Sunday better atmosphere. Drinks was good no real brunch menu or special I think that’s a miss the one in the Bronx does offer brunch. But overall cool day

This is a non-sushi review. Salad with salmon, kobe burger were good, slight deduction for atmosphere, the electro-pop music was a bit too heavy for Sunday brunch.

I ordered one spring roll and one California roll to-go—$28 total! Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind spending money on good food, and I’ve eaten at plenty of quality sushi restaurants. But at most legit spots, a California roll runs about $10–11, and spring rolls around $8–9, even for the nicer versions.
Here? The prices are just way too high for what you get. I picked up the food and ran back to my car—only to open the box and realize it looked more like a kids’ meal. Seriously, the portion was tiny.
I did tip the waitress because that’s just what I do, but overall, this felt more like a place to grab a drink than to sit down for a satisfying sushi meal. Just a heads-up to anyone thinking of bringing their family here—definitely check the menu and prices first. A family of four could easily end up with a $$$$ bill.
This is just my personal opinion, but for the price, I expected more.

My friend and I came about a month ago and I’ve been meaning to write this review because it was such a great experience. The atmosphere and music were great and the menu was impressive. The highlight of it all was our server, Kat. She has a great personality and was so friendly and helpful with her suggestions. She definitely elevated our experience and made the whole night special. Living Uptown, it’s hard to find this type of experience. She is a rockstar and I only hope this restaurant realizes the true asset she is to the establishment. Thank You Kat! Hope to see you soon

MamaSushi never disappoints. I came here to bring my cousin that is visiting me from DR. Anthony was super excellent in every way, the service, the attention. Anthony went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great experience. I give him 20 out 10 🌟!!!!! Everything was excellent, my cousin wants to come back to MamaSushi before returning home. Thank you. 🥳🥳
They like to charge you for stuff you didn’t order. They are thieves. I saw TWO cockroaches running around tables. The servers forget about you being there. Food is overpriced and not good. I bet they have rats in the kitchen. Would have given 0 stars if I could

The service here sucks, the waitress who was serving me, and my friend made us feel very uncomfortable. She kept coming around every 30 minutes asking if we ready to start getting our boxes, she came to my friend to fold her napkin and gave me and her stank faces. Again we paid 200 dollars it wasn’t cheap to be treated that way by anyone. And if there’s a time limit that should be communicated from the beginning, from the start she rushed us all the way till the end. That lady needs to work better on her face and her serving skills.
