Everything was fine until I got the bill. The receipt had a line item that said "Credit Card Surcharge 3.00%" (see pic). It's so slimy how they sneak this in. And I thought there was a recent state law that made this illegal? What other operating expenses will they add to our bills next? Ridiculous.

One of the worst values in the city. Two TINY tacos, about 3 bites each, for 17 dollars. These weren’t even normal sized tortillas they’re the tapas style, just tiny bite sized tortillas. Just like every other restaurant - you just get absolutely no value anymore. Truly a

Check your bill and specify the sizes of your items (e.g. 2 tacos or 3; small or large guac), largest size will be assumed if not specified. Food (3/5) - Ever since trying it for the first time, I've been on the hunt for good mole, so was very excited to try the short rib tacos it on their menu - it was on the thinner side, and missing the familiar cinnamon flavour that I was hoping for. Another in my party got a quesadilla with a side of grilled corn that looked decidedly un-grilled and came out of a can. Ordered a chips and salsa and guacamole, but the salsa never came and even though we were only a party of 3, never clarified what size we wanted and assumed it was the large. Large guacamole is 25, for reference. It was average, nothing to pick at. Price (1/5) - Pretty steep for average Mexican fare. Understanding that the location is hot and would likely contribute to inflated prices but 30 for 3 tacos is pretty steep no matter where you go. 25 for guacamole and 11 for chips and salsa, for reference. Drinks are around 20 apiece. Ambiance (3/5) - Vibes looked nice and décor / colour is sultry reds and oranges, some blues, seemed pretty hip. Music gets louder at night basically on the hour. Had to shout at each other by the end. Service (1/5) - Waitstaff came to hurry our order multiple times even though one in our party had just sat down and hadn't even had a chance to look at the menu. The minute our last bites were taken, the plates were whisked away - our chips were taken away even though our guacamole wasn't finished. Even though the restaurant was pretty empty and there were empty tables, and there didn't seem to be a line waiting for seating either, we were constantly visited after our food (we still had drinks) to see what else we wanted to order. Pretty pushy. Waiter also hovered over us while we were settling the bill and tipping.

Stopped by for drinks to kill time while waiting for our reservation for dinner. Loved the vibes inside & the drinks were so good. Got their La Fiesta Espresso Martini & La Niña Fresa (in picture) both were very good. The espresso martini tasted like an ice vanilla latte lol. Later, we also got the Caribeña & the Mangazo which was also very tasty. Mangazo was a bit strong but still great. We left a little buzzed. Def would come back

The interior of this restaurant is quite lovely. There's plenty of room. This menu has mole sauce. I was really looking forward to it. However, I don't think they make it hear themselves from scratch. It was not that great. Investment was decent. Your typical Mexican fair. The waitress was good and efficient. Guacamole was delicious.

During my recent visit to NYC, I enjoyed dining at Mamazul, a vibrant and welcoming Mexican restaurant that genuinely captures the essence of authentic Mexican cuisine. From the moment I stepped in, the atmosphere was buzzing with energy, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience. Fantastic service with a friendly staff that made me feel welcome the moment I checked in. I ordered a few delicious things, from the guacamole appetizer to the bread pudding dessert.

Great atmosphere and great drink flavor profiles. Fajitas remind me of Aldi's store bought brand with nominal seasoning. Costco fajitas have more flavor and depth. Stick with Mexican owned establishments if you are seeking food character.

Music to loud, no many options to eat, and the food was no good, only the costumer service was good, other than that horrible experience.

Went for brunch and the ambience was just not it. We were looking for something upbeat with good music to enjoy a boozy brunch. It was so quiet and the music was so low you could other table's conversations. Place was pretty empty. Service was great and fast, but definitely wouldn't come back. Everything felt rushed.
