Stopped by MariNe for a recent Friday dinner -- our party of 2 didn't have reservations but there were plenty of seats available when we got there around 6:30. There are roughly 15-ish seats at the counter, where you can watch them make your hand rolls in front of you. The decor is rather simplistic overall -- I like the elegant colour scheme and the rather minimalist design throughout, although I have to say that the bar stools are not the most comfortable to sit on.

Ambiance (3/5): The establishment is very small with about 15 seats that face the chefs while they prepare the sushi. It's bright and low volume that you can hear each other. The space definitely feels a bit cramped. The stools were the worst part of the experience because there's no backing so I felt just uncomfortable the whole time.

After a great dinner at Mari, I had high hopes for this sister concept. Came in for a late weekday lunch and the counter still had plenty of open seats.
