Marlow East is a refined New American restaurant that immediately caught our attention while my husband and I were strolling through Manhattan. What drew us in wasn’t a recommendation or a reservation — it was the view through the windows. Inside, we saw a calm dining room with soft lighting, a tasteful interior, and an atmosphere that felt both intimate and inviting. Once inside, the restaurant turned out to be exactly what we had hoped for. The ambiance was cozy and romantic — the kind of place where you can truly slow down, enjoy the moment, and have an unhurried conversation. It felt like the perfect setting for a relaxed evening together. The food was just as impressive as the atmosphere. For appetizers, we ordered the farmers salad and the tuna tartare. Both dishes highlighted the freshness of the ingredients — crisp vegetables and beautifully fresh tuna that tasted clean and delicate. For our main courses, my husband chose the strip loin, while I ordered the sea bass. The steak was well prepared and flavorful, but the sea bass was truly phenomenal — perfectly cooked, tender, and served in an incredibly rich and delicious creamy sauce that elevated the dish even further. We paired our dinner with wine, which complemented the meal wonderfully and added to the overall experience. I should also mention the service, which was attentive, professional, and seamless throughout the evening. Overall, we left Marlow East feeling very happy with our evening. The restaurant delivers a wonderful balance of atmosphere, quality food, and thoughtful service. The only downside is the price. Even by Manhattan standards, it felt a bit expensive. For two appetizers, two main courses, and two glasses of wine, the bill came to $258 — and that was before tip. Still, it was a lovely dining experience and a memorable evening.

Amazing service and great food! Everything was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect. Drazan was amazing and truly made the whole experience special with such friendly and attentive service. Definitely will be back!
Casual attire, no hats! Food excellent, service excellent, ambiance awesome! Drinks are on point! Dinner served at 5pm, no food before that time.

I can’t say enough about this place. I’ve been here twice in the last 9 months and have had such a pleasant experience. Our waiter Denis was such a delight (he was my waiter my first time here as well!)! He was attentive and so very kind. The owner Elena was there and very present! She is such a doll and can’t wait to go back. Food is as amazing—shrimp and grits are a must!

Generally was very underwhelmed by the food especially for the price. The tuna crudo was delicious but the deviled eggs tasted like they had been sitting a fridge overnight, and the rock shrimp culurgiones entree was bland - the shrimp smelled extremely fishy / was quite chewy and the pasta had no flavor. Service was great and their take on the espresso martini was excellent.
The food was not good at all. The caviar was not fresh and the service was terrible. Bad experience. The place is beautiful. Great vibe and nicely done Such a shame food is not good.

We sat downstairs and were able to have easy conversation. Tuna Crudo excellent! Halibut fresh and wonderful but could have been more pure with a bit less sauce. Onion Rings & Fried Chicken a 10! Loved meeting the young, vivacious, and personable Chef! We will return as many great sounding dishes yet to try.
