Dinner and a show! What more could you ask for! Outside seating is spectacular you get a front row seat to Josh Block freaking out in public! If you’re lucky you might be able to grab his captains hat from his head it’s a fun game he likes to play. food was 10/10

Some alcoholic kid or man was screaming and wet himself outside. And he kept saying his diaper was full. Weird night.
great food, decent service, we had a good time. while we were sitting outside, some mentally disabled man was being filmed by maybe his dad or something? there was a lot of screaming and the handicapped guy was freaking out on the street yelling at people and chasing after people biting his hand. i know this isn't the restaurant's fault, so i can't fault them in this review, but it would be hard to not mention it. we overhead another customer say that they knew who they were and they're in the process of being evicted, so that's good.
highly recommend the french onion soup and cheese board. despite the ruckus, me and my girlfriend had an amazing night. thank you marylou!

While I was eating, some guy upstairs kept yelling to put the fries in the bag.
Been by this place a million times and finally decided to pop in for brunch
Everything is absolutely delicious
The brunch atmosphere is super chill and not too crowded , intimate in the best ways
Beautiful aesthetic
Roan server was incredible - super professional and attentive
10/10 espresso martini
House gin cocktail Marylou also delicious!

All the signs of a place desperately hanging on to its perception of coolness before they go into the graveyard of buzzy gimmicks and trying to print as much money as possible before that happens.
I would describe the vibe as haute trashy and the food is average at best. Price to quality ratio is extremely low.
Prepare to be rushed off your table in an incredibly bizarre manner. Irritating you every 3 seconds to order. They’ll fabricate a story about needing the table cleared very quickly because someone has booked out the whole section, even if you have a reservation. Obviously it’s because the servers just wants to turn over their table again. If however you’re a group that’s there to run up a bill hammering a bunch of shots and drinks then they’re perfectly happy for you to stay of course. When they sense you’re annoyed, they’ll pull the cheap and tacky gesture of giving you a round of cafe patron shots to sweeten you up before you sign the tip.

The food here was pretty good; my family and I got cheese board, and I got the onion soup. I would definitely recommend those if you chose to dine here. The service was also pretty good; the staff were nice, helpful, etc. But what ruined my family's night was when a bunch of random teens came down the street and started yelling and screaming: "Put the fries in the bag" and "Josh, you're unemployed." I presume they were yelling at the people inside the apartments upstairs, as seconds later a person came out of the apartments biting himself and clearly intoxicated, yelling, "Get out of my house!"
Later in the evening, we then began hearing sounds of what seemed to be people in the same apartment having sex—very loud sex. I think it was the same person who was yelling "Get out of my house!" because I could hear a simlar voice moaning, "What does Banned mean on Tinder?". After that, I immediately called for the check and got my family out of there as soon as possible.
If you are looking for a good bistro in East Village, New York, then dine here by all means; it's a nice gem in East Village and has good food, but not unless you are looking for a nice calm, quiet evening. Only if you like watching freakshows while eating.

We were going to attend a meal for our anniversary but swiftly decided not too after waiting outside and seeing a bald topless man in a diaper recording a clearly drunk disabled kid who wouldn’t stop shouting. This used to be one of our favourite places.

The food was fantastic. The steak was cooked to perfection, probably the best steak ive ever had actually. We had some of the cocktails too, those were really nice. The servers were really lovely and polite.
The only thing i didn't like was that there are a bunch of teens hanging out upstairs, and the constant banging was pretty distracting. When my wife and i were leaving, there was an old man there who wouldn't leave her alone. He kept trying to film her and making advances towards her, they had also smashed glass all over the sidewalk and my wife cut her foot.
I would recommend the owners of this establishment do something about this as im sure you have lost customers to these people.

The mixed board was extremely good, so was the cheese board, Bourguignon Sliders we’re pretty good but just a little bit dry in my opinion Chardonnay Domaine De La Vougeraie Clos Du Prieuré 2019 was super good and we had quite a bit of that! Only downfall is after spending nearly 550$ the waiter was pretty rude and was rushing us out, and when outside some weird dude and screaming young dude were causing a scene

Went here the other day and the food was okay, not worth the price. The staff was also not as attentive as they should be for the price I was paying. There was also a lot of yelling going on with someone yelling foul language and saying “I’m from the Bronx” from a close distance. A bald tattooed gentleman and a younger man wearing a captains hat came outside from the apartments above and were arguing about stealing some one’s hat, and something to do with suing people. The bald gentleman was recording anything he possibly could. TBH that was the best part of going here to Mary Lou’s. They should hire these people for entertainment.
