The “loaded tots” were anything but — no other toppings save a sparse drizzle of sauce (I had to ask for more) and about six or seven lightweight, tiny cubes of the bulgogi meatloaf (they could’ve all fit on one forkful) which was like eating air. Not sure at all why this dish was the same price as a full meatloaf sandwich or plate. The cashier guy was super cool to chat with. Pretty meh experience, food wise. The owner was holding court and loudly socializing with everyone in the customer seating area — maybe he should keep an eye on what’s coming out of his kitchen.

Got a chicken sandwich to go and it was pretty delicious! I will say that the interior of the restaurant felt a little dirty, the tables had crumbs on them and needed to be wiped down, lots of employees crowding the walkway, and idk it just felt like the whole place needed a good scrub; it didn’t feel so dirty I was afraid of sanitary food conditions but definitely something to consider. Service was good, nothing above and beyond. For a good 11$ sandwich in NY, I was happy.

Walked by and the menu definitely caught my eye. I just had to know what Korean cornbread tasted like. So I got that, the Bulgogi meatloaf bun and the strawberry soju cake. That cornbread was an abomination of everything in and out of this world. Hard as a rock, burnt and tasted awful. The Bulgogi meatloaf looked like burnt meat log, but I had some hope because Ive had bootleg Bulgogi made from chop meat. This tasted nothing like Bulgogi. Just horrible. The cake was the only good thing. Moist, a little heavy, almost a pound cake consistently. Sweet but not too sweet and a delicious icing.

Stopped in. Gentleman behind the counter was very friendly. Ordered 2 legs and a thigh. Ran around the corner while it was being prepared. When I came back I was told they were all out of legs and thighs so he gave me 2 wings and a breast. It was thee most flavorless dry overcooked piece of chicken I think I’ve ever had. Literally not a drop of moisture was left in the meat. So over cooked the wing meat was dark yellow. Almost like it was refried left overs from last week. The breading was crunchy but lacked any seasoning what so ever. Didn’t even take a second bite.

The Hot Chicken Sandwich is excellent but the star of the show is the slightly pickled slaw they smother the chicken with which promises heaven in a bite. Trust me this place will take you there.

Interesting Southern fast food with a Korean twist now available in @getmemphisseoul at their East Village location. A good option for a quick eat, and a cool fusion idea!

Food was good, the coleslaw was a nice touch. Having catfish in a Korean dish is quite something! The student discount is a plus, too. Limited seating, and it takes a while for the food to be ready, so be mindful of that during rush hour.
