Lovely food. Lovely people. Great energy in this place. The babka is heavenly. The burekas are divine. My mom says the dough's a little different than the burekas her sephardic jewish family would make. I don't care, mom. These are really good.
Tried their hawaij latte and banana croissant. I had never tried hawaij before and the barista was happy to explain and recommend it. It was really tasty, like a dirty chai! The banana croissant was delicious as well!
Michaeli Bakery on Division St. in New York is one of my favorite spots to visit whenever I’m in the city coming from Florida! They have the most amazing rugelach, delicious and flaky croissants, and incredible pastries. Their challah bread is the best I’ve ever had; soft, fresh, and full of flavor. The quality of everything they bake is superb, and you can really taste the love they put into it. It’s also super close to my family’s house, so it’s always a must stop...
