Very kind staff, pretty place in the middle of a busy area with tons of other options. The place was quite packed with not much room around tables. Service was timely. We only tried the vegetarian items on the menu, and they were clearly marked which was great! The food itself was okay, we liked the risotto. The gnudi portion size was very small, and the eggplant was pretty standard. The fresh bread was amazing, and cocktails were interesting.

Amazing spot in the west village! We ordered the grilled mediterranean octopus and each a pasta, and had absolutely no complaints! Everything was 10/10, which is rare for me to say. The woman taking care of us was so sweet and attentive. We celebrated my birthday there, and they gave us a complimentary dessert. Tiramisu was also delicious, it had such an interesting twist that you must come and try. Could not recommend this place more.
Loved this place! Delicious food and drinks, really cozy spot

Appetizers were very good (kale salad and eggplant permigiana) but the pastas for mains lacked something special. Ambiance is great and service was too.

My boyfriend and I had a beautiful dinner here. The cocktails and wine were the best we’d had during our visit (we’re from Montreal). Also the service was amazing. Myriam was authentically warm, cool and her recommendations were on point. We’ll be back!

Walked by this charming looking place and they were kind enough to take us without a reservation and boy did we get lucky. We enjoyed the chicken and the lobster pasta immensely. The staff was friendly with great recommendations and even as the place filled up, the level of noise was lively but not overwhelming. A great date night spot and don't miss the cocktails!

Nothing exceptional about this restaurant except for the Valpolicella wine I had. For the price, we expected something more special for my birthday dinner but it was mediocre Italian food and an average customer service.

Fantastic experience dining here! Wonderful food and incredible hospitality from Danny and the team. Really lovely people that are the perfect compliment to the delicious food. Everyone should enjoy this delightful spot.

Had drinks at the bar with some friends. Such a cute vibe in the best neighborhood. The bartender and staff were so warm and fun. Will definitely come back!
Cute date night spot, food was amazing (especially the octopus and the duck pasta). Short wait for walk in at 9:30pm on a Friday (~10 mins).

We tried to walk-in at a few Italian spots in the West Village at 9pm on a Friday with no luck but stumbled into Mi Garba and were greeted very warmly by the waitress/hostess. Again, we thought we were out of luck as the small space was packed, both tables and bar were full, but she waved for us to come in more and said if we waited 5-10 mins, she'd be able to get us a table and we did! The ambiance is very cozy. Cocktails and wine selection were nice. And there's free bread!!!! Bring back free bread! We started with the octopus and salmon tartare. The salmon was refreshing but the octopus was still pretty chewy. We got the short rib agnolotti and summer squash burrata ravioli--both were tasty but the summer squash ravioli was on the lighter side and way more memorable. Finished our meal with the tiramisu and cheesecake and the cheesecake was our favorite of the two. Definitely some better dishes than others but overall a lovely experience.

Cozy hidden gem in the west village with delicious flavors and excellent hospitality. Great wine options - we enjoyed a beautiful Valpolicella with a vibrant group dinner (which was well handled given the small space).

The food was really really bad. very bland, bad quality ingredients. I was very surprised a restaurant with this quality could survive in NY. I feel bad for the staff because they were reallynice.

The first time I ate in Mi Garba everything was outstanding, that's why I chose this place to spend New Year's Eve, unfortunately was not the case for this night. The food was ok but not delicious like the first time. The service wasn't good, the waiter was completely distracted talking with other employees while took our order, also spelled our drink, we felt that we were bothering him by being there. I will recommend Mi Garba but not for a special night.
