Ordered roasted chicken (11.99/lb). One staff, who definitely knows I ordered roasted chicken (because he put the chicken in the container without any hesitation), put a 25.99/lb's price tag on the container. When I point out the error, he simply applies a new sticker over the original incorrect one - without removing the wrong label first. There’s no hesitation, no apology, and his motions are unnervingly smooth. I don't know why this happened but it definitely
negatively affects my feelings, and made me suspicious about more things about the market.

I stopped by to try the Infamous Chicken Caesar Wrap that this spot is known for, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to expectations. The lettuce lacked freshness, and there seemed to be something missing in the balance of flavors—the chicken, sauce, and croutons just didn’t come together the way I had hoped. Instead, the overwhelming taste of lettuce dominated each bite, without enough contrast to make the wrap truly stand out.

I also tried another wrap from this location the same day, but it seems they messed it up—the chicken tasted more like buffalo than what I had ordered. While the service was decent, the inconsistency in flavor and quality left me a bit disappointed. Maybe I caught them on an off day, but I’ve definitely had better wraps closer to home. I’d give this a 3/5 and might consider giving them another shot in the future.

With how things are financially these days it’s not just the quality of food that dictates where we spend our money, it’s also the quality of service… and the team working the evening of Friday March 21 were short on manners. I arrived looking forward to a grilled chicken sandwich only to be laughed in my face and told the deli closes at 8:30pm….. it was 8:27pm. I politely asked if a some kind of sandwich could be made and the team collectively proceeded to laugh in my face. One guy even laughed and said “hey I have family to get to”… little did he know I lost mobility on my leg that week and it was a lot to even hobble here. Defeated I found a deli 2 blocks north and it was like they could see the mistreatment I had endured. Not only did they make me the sandwich they had, but ALSO made me feel at home, chatted with me, made me feel special. Not only was this other deli’s food good but the service matched…. the team at Milano’s could use a lesson or two on customer service instead of just being the arrogant deli they are….. maybe Milano Market’s head has gotten too big to care *shrug*.

Rude employees at the register !

Enormous selection of prepared food and sandwiches made to order.
All the food is delicious and well prepared.

Only drawback is the sometimes grumpiness of the overworked staff. A smile would go a long way guys

I went to Milano Market after suggesting it because I’ve always wanted to try it. I was very excited to try a new place, given that I love food. I was with a group of friends and I was wearing BRIGHT GREEN. I was in line with them the whole time, very visible to anyone who was paying attention. As I got to the counter to order after my friends, a WHITE MAN accused me of cutting in line. I did not cut in line at all, and I never left the line. He was just being rude and racist. He still managed to get his sandwich before me. I assume the workers sided with him after I rightfully defended myself. I was very unhappy after leaving because not only was I humiliated for no reason, but he still left before me and excused it for being “hangry.” Milano Market is likely racist as well, even though most of the workers are POC. I won’t be back, even though the sandwich was tasty.

Friendly staff but the sandwiches are way too salty. I tried their sandwiches several times but each time I’ve been very disappointed by the way overly salty taste.

Being rude and obnoxious to your locals is a bad strategy, there are other great places to go in the neighborhood. Your tiktok customers won't last forever.

take your money anywhere else and don't support this place. management and customer service at this store are appalling. TLDR: they don't give a damn. their staff messed up my delivery order completely and i called the store to have it remedied, only for the "manager" named jose to tell me there was nothing they could do about it since it was ordered through a delivery partner. there was zero accountability despite the "manager" admitting they messed up the order. there goes $44 down the drain until the owner sees this review

Social media ruin…They need to do something about line management. I came to shop for Italian specialty groceries. That was impossible as the whole store was crowded with a sandwich line. They should handle it like Russ and Daughters or Katz’s and only let a few people in for the sandwich line by number.

products are decent. but the cashier tipped herself 30%+ taking advantage of customers in a rush and paying by credit card taps

I don't understand the reviews about people loving this place so much. It's okay. It is very expensive. $50 after taxes for two sandwiches? Have the people of NYC gone completely insane and willing to overpay for everything these days? The food is good, but sandwiches at $20+ as if it's an entree? No sides that come with them and crazy upcharges for different bread.
And the sandwiches are not very big like other reviewers have said. What tiny sandwiches are they used to? lol. They are normal sized depending on the bread and it's not like they are overstuffed like so many others do. I have had MUCH bigger sandwiches that are just as good if not better for $15 or less from all over the city.

I used to go here once in a while, but over the last few years, they keep jacking up their prices and I simply can't justify paying so much for a sandwich now. It's meat and bread for Christ sake!

One of the only other places I can think of that rips you off more is Pastrami Queen and a few kosher delis. Again, good food, but they should be shut down for their insane prices and sandwich size. I guess Milano at least does have bigger sandwiches then them, lol.

What is the world coming to! NYC is outta control!

We ordered the chicken Caesar wrap. It was just ok. The dressing was good but hardly any chicken for 15 dollars! Total rip off.

I ordered the chicken wrap. It was cold and so dry and hard to bite into. The cheddar was just thrown in as a slab
Overall I couldn't eat the wrap. My wife had the eggplant parm and it had no marinara.
