We were pleasantly surprised to find this well established place a couple blocks away from home. NYC can do that...a gem right under your nose. Every dish was tasty and fresh. Service was attentive. Two stand outs were the crisp rice with spicy tuna and the yellow fin tuna appetizer.
Great appetizers and sushi platters to share. Incredible sake, atmosphere and exceptional service.

Sushi Goda is a beautifully designed restaurant with a cozy ambiance and nice background music. The sushi is delicious and elegantly presented, with standout dishes like the Aga Dashi tofu and the Modern Omakase 8, which is considered the best sushi on the upper east side. The hot sake is great, and the friendly staff provide awesome service, being happy, smart, and knowledgeable about the menu and cocktails. The overall dining experience at Sushi Goda is praised as extraordinary, delicious, and impeccable. The menu features a variety of sushi options, including the popular Goda Harmony dish with Rock Shrimp, Miso Cod, and a medley of vegetables, as well as the Chirashi and various rolls. Customers also enjoy the Nyeumen - a thin udon soup bowl with shrimp tempura. Sushi Goda offers incredible deals for happy hour and weekend brunch, and the restaurant can accommodate large groups easily with its ample seating.
